It's from episode 8 to 14, to the point when Ranka's song stopped Vajra.
It shows Alto's kabuki side more often in this volume, in the way that I don't like
Well, the interesting/ worth mentioning parts are:
- Alto's thoughts on Nanase
As an ex-actor he thinks Ranka as "as for stardomness, she is indeed a charming girl, but with a girly air about her, if one were not careful on showing his likeness on Ranka he would be seen as a lolicon ". not that he thinks that that is a bad thing, but for Alto her friend Nanase, who have a more matured scent than Ranka or even Sheryl, have more appeal and would make one feel more "pathos" in their lifes.
* directly translated from what Alto's thinking, so the part when he said pathos..., maybe the meaning is different - well, this shows Alto is a guy indeed
- Sheryl's sudden arrival
Busy with her works after her debut, Ranka barely enough time to do any of her schoolworks, or even to go to the school. When she realized she doesnt have the notes to help her on doing her homeworks she asked Nanase to help her. (Nanase knows that Ranka doesnt have any notes, said she's busy, though she isnt, so that Ranka doesnt have a choice but to ask Alto)
Ranka went to Alto's apartment, and Alto taught her there. And predictably, when her hand grabbed not the thing she intended to, an eraser, but Alto's hand, the mood suddenly goes
. Sheryl came knocking the door
They then went to buy food for dinner, with Alto cooked for them all.
* nice. and also, Alto thought of "We're like a newly wed couple here" when they went shopping. husband - alto, wife - sheryl, daughter - ranka?
- Alto's ...
in the novel, the scene of when Alto took his time when he was asked to take a girl role in "Human bird" movie is shown in more detail scenes, with Michel has a big part in it >_>
it started when
Michel - "Why did you transfer to the pilot department in the first place?"
then he started blabbing about his past, about his parents (he stopped smiling and lost the will to live after his parents died). the different part is when he started talking about his sister buying him a kabuki ticket for him. and they went to watch it together.
Michel telling Alto that he watched the kabuki act of a boy the same age as him performing a princess, how that princess was really pretty and how his sister told him that this world still have alot of pretty things, like that act and the boy-princess. And thats when he decided to try keep on living.
Alto strongly asked Michel "And you're trying to say that princess was me?"
here he thinks in his heart "I(Ore) , I(boku) , I(watashi) am not that kind of existence"
*ore is what guy uses to adress himself, boku is for boys, watashi is for girls/all, in formal events
seems that Alto is losing in his inner conflict with his "girl" part he acted since he was a boy >_>
so... what Michel trying to tell Alto is he saw the boy Alto and he purely thinks Alto's act/Alto was that of a beauty and was a saviour to himself. so he doesnt want Alto to be a pilot killing people, thus dirtying himself.
Alto of course doesnt agree with Michel, opposed it completely WHILE speaking using girl's way of speaking >_>
"I was always... I was always seen by those eyes... filled of lust, only to satisfy their image of the ideal woman...! only for their arts, for their beauty, for their paths... What are those things! I am, I'm a guy!"
And while he saying that he's crying like a girl
with Michel wiping alto's tears with his handkerchief... nooooooes
I lol-ed when read this part first time
well, all these ended when they heard Ranka's scream
- Other than these, the stories/plot are generally the same like anime
