It's a sister series to Super Sentai and Kamen Rider franchises which have been going on for years in the same block, so yep, it's here to stay.
That image is most likely a very obvious fake because the fairy is a poorly shopped Potpourri. Chinese bootlegs yay!

And besides, at least there's a long-running franchise lots of girls can look up to that are in the same level as Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

Now if only we had something similar in nature in the U.S....

I wish they would! I just roll my eyes at these series every year they roll out. They really do need to try something new. Even if it is just a new magical girl show. I know this is their second biggest franchise so I don't see it happening soon. But these designs.....are hideous!

If they can set their standards up at HC standards then fine. But I don't see it going that way anytime soon.

I wouldn't call them hideous, I personally like them better than Suite. And I repeat, forget about Toei trying something new, at least with Precure the setting and such changes at each iteration.
Last time they "tried something new" (that was in the pre-One Piece days mind you) they got a movie that completely flopped and a series (Cutie Honey F) that flopped as well due to the fame the original still had. They had a terrible time since the beginning of the 2000s so they won't take risks at all.

Heh. This logo pretty much confirms that a recently leaked picture (that I called obvious fake) must have something to do with real Smile Precure. Five girls - five gems, same wing pattern on the logo and in their hair accessories, it's pretty obvious.

A shame, because these designs... really don't look like much.
But maybe, just maybe, Smile will become the Goseiger of Precure - characters looks weird, but god damn these villains and battles and the story structure, awesome as all hell. Sora ni kagayaku Rainbow indeed!

Looking at the bottom of that promo poster, I see an innumerable number of cute mascot animals. Looks like Smile and Gobusters are aiming for the same thing. Though Smile's animals won't turn into robots. Maybe.

AFAIK that's just speculation, at least for now. It could be possible (after all Heartcatch did have Nana Mizuki as Tsubomi), but unless it's confirmed in some way I'd say to treat it as rumour.

2ch constantly keeps doing "I'd like to see these seiyuu" posts in preview threads, so not only it's speculation it's also complete confirmed bull and all coincidences with final product will be accidental.
