Why not go to the supermarket and buy one of those clearly labeled region-free DVD players, and import the DVDs from the states like most people do?

Best thing I've heard all day.
I've simply stoped buying PAL disks, and I must say it's the best thing I've ever done.

I do agree, Anime-gundam, Aoshi, and SI did produce THE best Gundam SEED episodes to date. I do hope Anime-gundam finds another group to joint with. It be a shame to see talent go down the drain.

Aoshi and SI are dead. Also, several people who worked with A-G&SI&Aoshi Seed aren't involved in fansubbing anymore... I guess there's a chance A-G might do Seed Destiny with some group, but I _really_ wouldn't count on it.

AG are slow as molasses anyway.

Last I'd heard Anime-Kingdom, who did a respectable job of the later parts of the series (although they go a tad overboard with notes and such) plan to do Destiny.

NOOOO!!!!! Ill never listen to Destiny than. At least we know AnimeJunkies wont be doing it.
The best thing would be anbu or akeep dropping Naruto to sub Destiny but I doubt that will ever happen outside of my wildest dreams.

Even if AnimeJunkies is finished, the group that took up their slack and finished off their final two series looks to be promising.

I hope it doesn't get listed on Animesuki. Maybe then people will realize its already licensed.

Except it's not, you twit.

How many threads do you need the Gundam licensing situation explained to you in?

Asking someone to prove that something hasn't been licensed is like asking them to prove that something is impossible. In other words, it's not possible.

There hasn't been a public announcement regarding the licensing of Gundam Seed Destiny in the United States, so it should be considered unlicensed by AS and listed as such.

Then what do you call Jerry Chu's announcement that Bandai has everything Gundam?

Why would they need a public announcement in the United States? They don't need a public announcement in all of North America for all that it matters, it's not being released here at the moment. Bandai owns Gundam, they own the name Gundam, the own the rights to produce a Gundam series, and someone has bought the license from them to air it on TV in Japan, so in turn Gundam is licensed in my opinion.
