It is a bit odd considering how much material they covered. I though they'll go for a movie instead. But great news anyway.

Not really hyped about this, if anything this third season will show the lack of good writing in the last volumes, at least this season can adapt everything until the end of the LN since the last volume is coming out soon unless they delay it again.

I'm not as hyped as others knowing how low fell the writing quality of the series doesn't makes me feel excited about this at all.

I just want a conclusion to this story in animated form after the blue ball that is the end of the 2nd season (it reminds me of the season finale of FMP: Second Raid). If the 3rd season can provide me that conclusion, I'm happy enough.

Great news. I have heard that thing go downhill towards the end, but I would still like to see the story get properly wrapped up.

Same here. If the series can get completed in animated form, I'll be happy. Few LNs get that treatment.

Gotta agree with Kanon on this one. Regardless of story quality, I'm glad this series was given the closure it needs.

This also means more Nagi Yanagi. All's good.

Will it explain what the hell the last season was about? I legit wasn't sure if I missed an episode or something because I had no idea what the drama was all about.

Well, at least they only have 3 volumes to cover, with possible left out details from previous volumes added as well. Whatever happens, even if it's only 10 episodes instead of 12-13, it will be the least rushed season.

FMP: Second Raid "blue-balled" its viewers for thirteen years. I hope that Oregairu's 3rd season doesn't leave off on a cliffhanger either.

So why does Oregairu get to be one of the lucky ones? Is it a runaway success like Haruhi was?

Part of it must be luck. For example, nobody ever expected that Parasite & Ushio to Tora will ever get a complete modern anime adaptations since the mangas are long finished (some even say dead) with only minor numbers of fans attached to the titles when the anime are announced. Heck, look at the current Dororo & Karakuri Circus. Nobody expected those to get modern animated adaptations especially with almost no fans of the title from the currently fresh generation. I'm one of the few who wanted it to happen but I certainly didn't expect it to happen until the announcement.

Dororo does at least have the distinction of being made by the world-famous Osamu Tezuka, creator of Astro Boy, so there's that at least. They also tried making a PS2 game of the original anime called Blood Will Tell, but that flopped.

I do hope that the third season of Oregairu will fully tie things up with a satisfying ending. A lot of us have been waiting for that.

I already knew we're gonna get another season for this, it's just a matter of when.
