We've had chapters like this since the very beginning of the story, i don't see what's wrong with that. Or is it because we've just come from possibly the longest action filled arc in the series, and people want more of that? The last thing i want Beelzebub to turn into is an all out fighting manga.

Comedy is this manga specialty.
Action is not bad.

Comedy dont really last long and some action help prolong the manga.

There's nothing wrong with side arcs like this, especially if they're friggin' hilarious like this one!

I don't think this is a filler, the main plot is about raising baby beel into a demon king but without him hating humans (or destroying them while he's growing ), isn't it? Now this can go on about Beel to have another experience, maybe this little girl later become his onee-san, maybe he experience love...or (most probably) femdom .

And don't forget that this series is like a parody of the typical jump battle manga so comparing this gold series with Bleach is indeed fatal mistake and no there are no relation in the slightest at all if you look at the big picture so screw that. I'm just going to quote this good review from mangaupdates and he really makes good summary of this series and makes more sense if you still insist on looking at action or plot in this series:

Quote:
This manga is the opposite of a shounen battle manga. What do I mean? You know how shounen battle manga starts with a some pathetic guy who's special and through a series of lucky breaks becomes a bad ass - this series starts off with a badass who finds he's not badass enough.

You know how shounen battle mangas protagonists get beat down by someone random stronger than them and they spend 30 chapters powering up? This manga does it in 3 pages and gets back to what's important, the plot!

You know how when the protagonist is a super powered world destroying badass and then somehow struggles to beat down the boss he had trouble with and then even has trouble beating down the next boss's lackeys because he inexplicably doesn't use the new godlike power he has? There are multiple instances of 1 move battles because the protagonist is a god like badass, why the fuck should the mangacka waste ink drawing a battle scene?

You know how after 500 chapters you get sick of shounen battle mangas? This one is unfortunately starting to get there, but it is definitely an experience that's worth the ride and it is still worth reading after 130 chapters.

You tired of wimpy ass protagonists bawling about friendship and swooning helpless women falling at their feet? Then read this.
So yeah, this is why I love this series so much.

Yeah. I don't know if this error was in translation or the author really did go back on calling him Oga. Makes me wonder if Hilda calling Oga with his first name was really the work of the author or it was just an error in translation.

Loved Furuichi's little fantasy showing Beel and Futuba as a married couple, and Hilda as the wicked step-mother

Still having the raws, she did indeed call him 'Tatsumi' (it was written in hiragana) the past two chapters, and this chapter was indeed 'Oga' (in the usual kanji). So this was Tamura-sensei's decision as opposed to an error in translation.

I see. I'm glad someone pointed out my question. So it was author's decision rather than error in translation like I was claiming. I kinda wonder what he was thinking

As far as I know, she never called him by his real name before she lost her memories.
She used to called him "kisama", "dobuo" or when spoke politely "anata".
It seems she changed the ways to call him after she returned her memories.
