Wut. But I was so convinced that that was because Signum is an obsolete knight who cannot hold a candle to any reasonably modern combatant. :-\

Yeah, what do you expect, Signum to still be competent after one loss? Crazy talk.

Nah, i'm with Koveras on this one. Since is apparent that modern crime will follow the steps of the Huckebein from now on(the Grendels being the first example), that means there will be more and more people with the same resources as Cypha(or even better than hers). Which will do render obsolete the ancient combat methods of knights against reasonably modern combatants. Signum being forced to rely on an experimental weapon to even have a chance to challenge Cypha to a fight seems to be pointing on this direction.

I can call Cypha's magic-cancellation haxx but the super-toughness seems to be something inherent of her Eclipse augmented body and as we've just seen it plays an important part of her effectiveness as a fighter against any opponent regardless of the nature of it's powers(as Quinn's Eclipse powered sword was equally unable to pierce Cypha's skin). While Signum and the Wolks were figuratively "Made of Iron" Cypha took that to a literal level.

If someone seems to be "hacked the universe" here is Curren, hope to see her in action more often to discover the nature of her powers and weaponry as also to know if she really is as overpowered as she showed up to be or if she can actually be challenged by someone on this manga xD

Implying Signum has ever been competent even before said loss.

Remebering with sad nostalgia when the Book of Darkness called Signum "the allmighty warrior" xDU

Clearly an exaggeration supported solely by the weakness of her then-opponents.

She couldn't even win against a nine year old girl in a swimsuit. Some warrior.

Back on-topic

Can someone take a guess and identify the shape of Signum's AEC? By the shape and the way she's holdng it i can assume it's a bow or something like that but i fail to see how she will engage Cypha in close combat unles said Bow also have blades or some sort of stunning function that allows Signum to smack Cypha with it xD

Indeed, because so far the popularity of firearms would be able to shift the sword. Even the criminal acts recently more and more courageous.

So far, I found the psychological effects of Eclipse itself. With great power, comes great pride and arrogance (especially Hucks). And perks. Then leads to insanity (for anyone who enjoys the self-regeneration effect).

Maybe resembles Shiguru Blade from Gundam AGE? Well, I like if Signum can reverse grip with it

Yep, that's another social danger that comes with the Eclipse. If it starts to become wideknown the TSAB can't hold control on the situation with the Eclipse infected criminal. Other criminal groups will gather confidence and will try their luck by defying the law. The fact big names like Signum can be easily trashed and even living legends like Nanoha are overwhelmed by powerfull EC Drviers didn't help either. EC Driver have the potential of gether great popularity on the black market and the Grendel family's prescence more or less lampshades that process already have started.

On that regard the Huckebein have the handy justification of having a method to control the symptoms. But i wonder what's the excuse for the Grendels, Cypha mentioned they just recently aqcuired the infection so probably they still retain some self-control because they still on their early days as full-fledged EC Drivers.

reverse grip? as in, grappling the opponent using the bow as a bar?

So reading the scans, last chapter Touma was all happy face at Cypha showing up, and then in this one he looks cautious in her presence. Was it just a sudden reaction?

Also if that sword girl's eyes pick out weak points, shouldn't she have aimed for Cypha's remaining eye at first? No-one's even bothered trying to aim for it yet. Also, she blushes after Touma rescues her: another member of Isis' harem?

And when Signum and Cypha are squaring off, it's ruined by Touma making an incredibly stupid face, like this is a comedic situation.

We know that the world needs a balance, but the problem is the TSAB itself is too weak in the application of its law. Not to mention the history proves that the TSAB formerly also made a black record by legalizing the creation of artificial mages (as seen in Strikers episode 20). That's why the chaos in the Nanoha universe happens.

I myself haven't found any excuse from Grendels, but as disposable items. More precisely, like another filler villain or monster of the week.

Huckebein, on the other hand...

More like he reacted to Cypha's murderous attempts towards Quinn. I guess Tohma considers all Eclipse infected deserve a second chance and saw with bad eyes that Cypha attempted to kill someone in the same situation as her. In that sense, Curren's strategy of becoming symphatetic to Tohma have a key critical flaw xDU

Ironically, Signum attempted to do exactly that in Ch. 6 with Laevatein's Schlagenform, Cypha barely dodged the tip of the sword receiving a cut on the cheek instead xD

Not even then, but at the start of the chapter. It's like he went "Oh hey, Cypha, nice to see...oh, wait."

Uh, the previews are too scattered and incomplete to know how Thoma's face changed. There looks to have been plenty of dialouge in between so maybe something was said that took away his smile or he just remember that "Oh yeah, in the middle of battle here."

Anyways, Thoma: new harem member get.

Signum's new weapon appears to be wrist mounted bows.
