It's from Macross Frontier.

I liked when Taiga and Minorin first started singing the best. XD

Whilst watching the anime I like the OP best, it is very upbeat and tends to make a good contrast with the prologue etc, and the graphics go well.

But on my mp3 player, it's vanilla salt all the way, though not for the first time I find myself wondering why the Japanese see sweet and salt as opposites rather than sweet and sour or bitter. (An example of this would be CCS where they use salt to neutralise the Sweet card, whereas I would have expected lemon juice or something.)

I'm totally addicted to Vanilla Salt.

Because of its music, I can't concentrate in lessons that I even write out its lyrics on my notes.

We have a new Thread for MAD-AMV now

I'm gonna look for some more ^^

Just to have this thread on topic...

I'm sure if this is the OST, or a just release one. But I heard I my me, its so catchy, and I love it. It's from Yui Horie, the seiyuu for Minori Kushieda. Even Vanilla Salt is so addicting to hear.

New Toradora! music info from today's Animate update.

The Kugimiya/Kitamura/Horie trio will now sing the new ED, titled "Orange", and Horie will be singing the new OP, "silky heart".

Both of these are scheduled for release on January 28th.

It'll be pretty hard to top the current OP and ED, but we'll just have to see.

Ah, Yui Horie. One of the best singers EVER.

I kinda hope the new OP/ED will be slightly less upbeat, to fit with the tone of the later novels, but we'll see.

I don't suppose we have any musicians around here? I'm a (very) novice violin player myself and I would love to get my hands on some sheet music so I can try playing some of the music from the show.

I'd especially like that piece of background music usually used during sad or serious scenes. If my memory serves, it's usually played with a guitar in a variety of scenes but one I can think of specifically is when it's played on a violin back in episode eight where Ryuuji and Minori are having a conversation before heading home from school in the rain.

Alright, I started trying to transcribe some music myself but I'm such a newbie when it comes to music that I need some help.

First of all, the actual source. There's this scene from episode four and this scene from episode eight. The sharp ones among you will also likely notice that this piece of background music is played in many other episodes with a guitar and again with a violin in episode ten. The violin piece in episode ten, however, seems to be an extended piece that's almost twice as long since there's also a part where a piano plays for a bit.

Anyway, what have I got so far? Uh... The first... nine notes... (Very, very new to music! That's a midi file for those interested, by the way) I'm transcribing using MuseScore (downloadable *.mscz file of what I've got so far here). It sounds good so far to my ears but I'm sure a veteran musician who's had more than two months worth of experience with music could probably point out a bunch of things I got wrong (maybe even the key and time signatures!).

If anybody has the time and feels like helping out, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Both coming out on Jan 28th next year.

With the announcement of the new songs 2-cour back-to-back it is.

Glad to see the episode count has one more data point to put the issue to bed.... yet people keep asking the question or assuming one season.

Anidb now reflects a 25 episode length of Toradora in its description, glad someone finally updated that.

Anime News Network ("the internet's most trusted anime news source") still insists it is a 13 episode length...... and yet another out of hundreds of reasons I tend to avoid them as an information source.

ANN only lists episodes they have titles for, not an episode count.

People tend to confuse the two.
