Actually, it wasn't so bad...
The animation quality was good for a first episode. Did anyone else catch this moment? >> O_o''' Was the camera from Shinichiro's perspective? Maybe he was daydreaming? - "I shed away my tears." - *gasp* //I cannot believe this, sooo shocking... >< I'll be definitely watching this show. |

From my own experience of romance anime, the first ep usually has a simple plot to the story. Guy falls in love with girl or vice versa. In the first ep, it was a little different because it was more subtle in the characters expressing their feelings than other romance anime like Clannad, Suzuka, and Love Hina. The talk about "tears" was also a strange subject mentioned throughout the ep. Other than that, the ep made me want to continue the series because of its uniqueness.

I wonder how many times they'll say "tears" before the series ends. Well, not too many so far, fortunately.
While a bit jumpy in places, this was a good episode. Subtlety tends to be the name of the game, some moments are funny in a light way instead of being too blatant and over the top. Heck, even the fanservice (sadly, they're related; why does this always happen in anime?) is more subtle and works better that way. Overall, the storytelling is very well done. The exception here, is of course, Noe. But she's way too cute for me to complain about.
