For the scrolling text, create a layer of repeating text with equal spacing, then duplicate the layer (one for the top, one for the bottom). Next make a new frame then nudge the 2 text layer in the new frame until it looks like this: Tween the first frame into the second for the scrolling effect. |

Doing this type of icon is quite simple really.
From this To This Crop where ever the most suitable place is as we going to need it a reasonable size when we re-size it. With this one I just cropped near her head and the part of flowers on her dress. Now for the resizing, mine was about 100X76 it'll all depend with the contrain properties on *only for resizing this though* Copy it. New document 100X100 Crtl+V and there sits your picture. Move it around till you like where it is sitting then go ontop the next step. Find a texture any you like, open it up and paste it as your main background eg. Now with your picture make a stroke and pic a colour of the background to use as the stroke colour for example the colour stroke is #d3afac set it around size 3 or 4. After that go up to Drop Shadow and select a colour of the texture there *darkest colour on the texture helps* and play with the distance, size and spread Now fill in a layer with this *just copy and paste it* And set that to Soft Light at 70%. Then take this and set it at Exclusion 35% Layers-New Layer Adjustment-Hue and Saturation Saturation -14 Then use texture and set it to Screen 100% It's also possible you may need to eraser some dots if they cover the person. Now take these two images and set the first one to Exclusion 57% and the second one to Multiply 88% Now go to Layer-New Layer Adjustment-Graident Map and make sure to select black and white graident* Now after that lower the opacity to 50% Now you have an option to add text I added some with it a Perpetua Italic 11pt and put it right under just over the second layer which should be your person you chose. And ....... Volia!

This is more for making wallpaper but is it possible to enlarge pictures in Photoshop while still keeping it high quality (like 800x600 to 1280x800)? Whenever I try it gets really pixelated and unusable. Thanks a bunch!

Many of these pictures that I get are from games where the resolution is 800x600px so I save the "print screen" pictures as png since I heard that those are higher quality.

lol double post
But anyways, the "simulate pressure" in the stroke path window isn't working properly now. The stroking doesn't change from the default even if I checked the box. Anybody got any ideas? |

Well photoshop sometimes just fails on you. You may want to try to re-install it. A technique I keep hearing to make re-installs painless is to create a action when you set up your preferences etc. When you re-install again you can just run that action to get everything back to normal. Of course you can also do some copy/pasting of files here and there.
Have you checked to see if the it's not the tablet itself that's malfunctioning? Quote:

Well, since a few days ago I've been having some kind of "problems" with Photoshop. It's the Animation window. When I try to introduce my own timeframe, I can't introduce the dot, for example, I try typing "0.08" and it doesn't get the dot, so it finishes as "008". I've been using the coma instead of the dot for it, but I'd still like to know if there's any way to get it back, because I am used to it.
