I'm looking at AIC's take on the character designs, and I think its pretty bad. There's something wrong with their portrayal on it.

SHAFT really has the better artists, since Denpa Onna's designs there looked a lot better.

Haganai's anime character design is very faithful to the novel, but the lack of scottish pattern on heroines' skirts shocked me. Denpa Onna, on the other hand, is very faithful too, but they add a lot of sparkles (especially Erio).

beign honest the character designs arent on par with DOSO but that doesnt mean theyre bad either, and about the scottish patter likewaise it was ansvwered before from stripes to square patterns are a luxury in anime, you hardly see those now adays and when you do, is usually just a still pattern.

Maria is 10! and actually looks like it!!! still she makes a great combo with a certain accommodating 15?!? year old odd-eyed, twin-tailed, goth-loli, imouto... I think there was a H-doujinshi handling exactly that combo from C79 or COMIC1☆5

As for the meganeko, twin-tailed genious... there are way too many character fails like her for the character design alone to excite otaku. Still, plot and character development might change that.

But to call it 'bad' ? That's a tad bit strict don't you think? Especially since the so-called bad parts are extremely miniscules, which by the way I still don't see.

To this day and age, I still watch Zetsubou Sensei, you know.....

I was worry about this one's art before it was revealed, and currently you can say I'm pretty pleased with this, so I don't know how could anyone call it "bad".

i already want to see another pv to look better at the other characters animated, since other than yozora and sena thay dint got much screentime in the last pv specially the protagonist.

Yeah it's kinda sad when something of this quality is called "bad", go take a look @ how most manga to anime adaptions are handled (especially Shoujo) and you'll realize this is one of the better ones. Not to mention that everyone here is bitching about "art" when the show could have way better "animation" than Denpa Onna. Please stop acting like this is Sora no Woto when it comes to adapting character designs....

Sora no Woto was Kishida Mel's designs, which are the same for Hanasaku and Kamimemo, yo can tell the differences when they got adapted into anime.

a better example would be fractale, they really screwed up character esigns in the anime really bad.
