retail price is 7875 yen

Shame on you for not pre-ordering. I am certain most stores in Akihabara are sold out by now.

Did you get your copy yet kj?

And ya, the game is most definitely sold out in stores by now if you haven't pre-ordered it already.

Oh well, all I could afford was that pre-clannad thing >.> Too bad Amazon didn't ship soft overseas, since they had an amazing deal on Clannad (~30% off)

The LE version, most likely, but the regular edition was still available, which for me, was fine. Not sure that I want Clannad bedsheets, to be totally honest.

The regular version would be more than enough for me, but I figure I'll wait for the console version and see if it has voices included.

Let me clarify this.

Japanese stores will often add special extras for people who pre-ordered and bought their games at their stores

Key themselves do not include them in the package. The stores that sells them makes a deal with Key to use the characters to make store-only promo specials so as to lure customers to buy it from their store rather than the much cheaper Amazon Japan.

I bought mine at Sofmap. Sofmap's promo came with this nice neon-lighted crystal stand:

http://www.sofmap.com/shop/topics/to...3307&TPC_PG=23

Here was the list of the store-only specials (There are several stores that do coffee mugs and mousepads. All mugs and mousepads are different in style and design):

Key Official HP: 5 mousepads & buruburu-botan plushie (plushie of a wild pig)
Animate: mousepad
Getchu.com: 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle
Sofmap: neon-lighted crystal stand
Gamers: mobile phone strap
Messesan-oh: Nagisa's bedsheets & 18 reversible posters
Torano-ana: sports towel
Crescent: 5 sports badges
Meido-ya: school uniform (for the first 100 customers)
Net-Takarajima: 2 coffee mugs
Goodwill: Totebag & fan
WareparkNAVI: Sanae's apron
Hon-eki: Mousepad, Cottonbag, portable CD case
Yodobashi Camera: mousepad
Furukawa Denki: coffee mug
LAOX: hand towel and teaspoon set
KI2: 6 original mousepads
Comroad: mousepad
Lammtara: original stand clock
OA Systems: Telephone card holder
Privoux: foldable umbrella
Rabbitnet: 5 reversible keyholder set
Eiden: mousepad
Nakaura: original mobile phone case

So if I wanted a foldable umbrella, I would've pre-ordered and bought mine at Privoux. However, after much thought that I already own several umbrellas and that I am not going use such a special in the rain, I decided to get it from Sofmap. It's also neat to have a cool neon-lighted crystal stand in your room, right?

I wonder if anyone preordered one from every store just to get all the extras Or maybe they just wait until the extras get on Yahoo Japan. I'm still trying to see if I can score that Kanon Backpack ^^;

I wonder how long it'll be before some of those mouse pads end up in auctions...

I'd atleast like to see images of some of the cell phone straps.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone actually pre-ordered at all those stores just to get all the store-only promo stuff.

I doubt anyone got all of them since you have to buy the game that you pre-ordered in order to receive the special store-only promos. You can't just go up to the store and say "hey, I pre-ordered - here's my receipt, give me my gift."

To get all the stuff that I just listed, one would have to spend 180,000 yen. Add to that, you also had two other "need to get" ero-games that went on sale that day: Leaf's "Aruru to Asobo!" and Playm's "Realize"

The crystal stand is already up on Yahoo Japan.

EDIT: Some kind of strap here http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g18311209

It's a mobile phone strap. ^^

It's kind of cute ... but once again "海外発送はしません。(Seller will not ship internationally.)"

That's where a friend in Japan comes in handy. Wish I had one, I use a deputy service at animechaos.com and get reemed for commision charges (depending of the value of the item).

That's certainly different. The stores need to not only figure out what games would likely sell - and in what quantity - for ordering, but also need to decide on a good item to include to persuade gamers to stop by its stores instead of someone else's.

Is there a central place that one would go to see what store is giving away what item(s) in their LE version of the game, or do you just have to go to each store's site and look? I guess maybe a Japanese gamers' forum would have the info?

That plushie and neon figures set both sound good, but the (girls'?) uniform... That's be interesting to see in a cosplay competition. So long as it's done by a girl...
