Tomorrow would be fun as we will have Love Live, Saki, Railgun and one of the strongest newcomers Alice Cartelet on the same day. In my head, I have all the four opponents in similar strength, though not sure in how they would play out in reality.

Wow, vote totals really spiked today. I wonder how high they will go when important Saki and Railgun characters face each other. Despite the high vote totals, the results were still as I predicted. Shizuno beat Misaki and Uiharu beat Frenda. Frenda still did a lot better than I thought she would. I really thought she was going to get killed by Uiharu.
Matches: B3 H3 Kinmosa just isn't a particularly strong series. Eli looks to be roughly on the tier below the Puella Magi so Eli should win. A pretty strong Saki character faces a pretty strong Railgun character. It's a tough call since neither has had particularly tough opponents. I think Jindai will win here. Votes: Ayase Eli MISAKA #10032 Predictions: Ayase Eli Jindai Komaki

I think I just don't get Love Live. Eli gets trounced by Alice. Alice didn't even get that many votes. Eli's vote total was just low. It's one thing if some group was supporting Alice to snipe Eli, but they can't make votes disappear. 114 votes is just not something you can win with. Railgun continues to falter in the face of Saki. Jindai has no problems with MISAKA #10032. Will Kuroko and Saten be able to get some payback later on?
Matches: C3 I3 An easy win for Madoka. Even if there is a series that can challenge Madoka, it isn't Non Non Biyori. Kurumi isn't that strong. Kurumi got about the same result on Jibril as Chitoge got on Chiya. I think the second result is the better one so I have Chitoge winning. Votes: Kaname Madoka Kirisaki Chitoge Predictions: Kaname Madoka Kirisaki Chitoge

C Final
1st 147 Kaname Madoka @ Madoka Magica Movie: Rebellion Story 2nd 76 Koshigaya Natsumi @ Non Non Biyori I Final 1st 134 Kirisaki Chitoge @ Nisekoi 2nd 82 Kakura Kurumi @ Saki Zenkoku-hen Today's also very low in votes just like yesterday even when Madoka is in one match. Too bad my Japanese is still not that good to actually get the situation (also because my interest sort of wanes), but something must have burnt out after the first day of Round 3. Still Madoka and Chitoge winning is among the general predictions. Tomorrow might be sort of hard for Yui, but I'll support her all the way.

- Even Madoka isn't immune to the additional subtraction of votes. (198 to 147) It was still enough for her to advance to the top 32.
It was interesting though that Shizuno won her group with 632 votes in a match with >1,100 votes, yet Eli had 230 votes and a temporary lead and lost roughly half of the votes at the end. (I still preferred Shizuno and Alice in their respective groups) - Round 3 had at least 23 of the 24 groups with at least one of the main factions fighting for a spot in the top 32. 6 groups are complete and we already have two in the top 32 not from Saki, Railgun, PMMM or Love Live. Good to see Chitoge in the top 32. |
