The "Chihayafuru: Musubi" film opened nation wide to the general public in Japan on March 17, 2018. It is the final sequel in the live action trilogy. Norihiro Koizumi's interpretation of Yuki Suetsugu's ongoing manga series.

Some films, like "River's Edge", have their premieres overseas. Other films open domestically. Some of these, their cast and staff, get to travel. As the number of screenings decrease and / or have stopped completely in Japan, announcements for overseas film festivals start coming in, too. Among others:

"Chihayafuru Musubi at Toronto Japanese Film Festival June 13th" - a recent heads-up headline.

Netflix Produces Live-Action Cowboy Bebop Series:

"Netflix announced on Tuesday that it is producing a 10-episode live-action series
adaptation of the 1998 television anime Cowboy Bebop. Entertainment news magazine
Variety noted that the series has been in the works since last year. Netflix did not
announce a release date for the series."
