BTW, for a point of trivia, the model of telescope that Misaki was using, Satake, was the same model that Hei had. I thought that was a neat little tie in.

^ Very interesting. I forgot to note that Yoko Kanno's compositions are sorely missed in S2. The current one's doing a good job, but there's only 1 Kanno

Did Hei take his telescope with him? I don't think he did and I'm inclined to say that it is Hei's telescope there, I'm sure he won't mind.

Episode 2 was great. I am confused about whats going on, but I'm sure we'll find out (or at least be told enough to draw some sort of conclusions). I'm already getting attached to the characters too. I cannot do that, this is not the series for that. lol.

Hei (BK201) is not dead, but his powers have probably disappeared. You can see him alive for the next season's trailer. Also, he probably can regain his power and will (if he lost it) by going to the gate like Havoc.

From S1, if a contractor's star fades their power disappears as seen by Havoc.

Yeah, and I find that since Hei's obviously not dead (you can see him in the preview of Ep 3, as someone mentioned above), the only other explanation I could find is that his powers have gone. Pure logic, I guess...

I think while he was in that field he lost his powers or his powers were blocked, like he was temporarily out of space/time (streeetch). It would be interesting if he did lose them for an extended amount of time. I don't see how he'd live long though.

Ninja skills. Hei's main use of his power was to make his coat bulletproof and to deliver killing blows with electricity... it'll handicap him, but he'll still take out his share of soldiers and contractors.

I can imagine how Hei will survive with just his super-ninja skills for a temporary time. But...they won't make it disappear forever, will they?
