According to >this< Timeline, Itachi is five years older than Sasuke, and several fansites, like >this< one say that Itachi was 17 in part 1 of the manga.

Anyway, Minato is heading for the village. Maybe we'll get to see him actually fighting Madara or the nine-tailed before he uses Shiki Fuujin, although I hope he won't stand a chance against the kyuubi, the poor fox has been downrated more than enough times already lately.

Got to say, I loved the use of Hiraishin in this chapter. More or less Nightcrawler's teleportation ability, but since Nightcrawler's ability was cool, so is Hiraishin .

Considering that Naruto is talking to Kushina ala Yondaime's technique I'll assume that the sealing involves both the fourth and kushina, since Kushina talks about returning to minato. Not sure how kishi is going to take this story line, but hopefully we'll get to end soon enough.

Interesting cover with baby Sasuke and Naruto. Pretty much a very informative chapter with Madara pretty much making himself to be a Magnificent Bastard of the series. Minato has to save the baby from Madara's weapon and then escapes from the paper bomb rigged baby towel that Naruto was wrapped in. Madara extracts the Kyuubi from Kushina with his own extraction technique, though Kushina does not die instantly. The Kyuubi almost kills the woman had not Minato coming in with the last minute save. The save looks reminiscent to how Kushina was saved by Minato when she first fell in love with him. The glare that Minato gives Madara was epic ( I expect Naruto to do the same in the future). I found it sad on how Kushina is reunited with her new born and how Minato looked at both the mother and child.

Hopefully everyone's read enough of the spoilers or the actual chapter for me not to put this into tags... BUT...

I usually go d'awwwwww over babies, real or fictional, but Naruto and Sasuke's baby pics are just... excuse me while I go barf. Okay, maybe not THAT nauseating but I won't be looking at the cover for a while. I do admit, however, that it was an interesting insight to another portion of their lives.

The scene with Kushina next Naruto as she dies and cries with Minato watching them was so sad. Gues next chapter will be Minato vs Nine-Tails

Also why does Kishi has need to show Sasuke now, whats the point?

It's hilarious.....a lot of us hate Sasuke.....it turns out he's even being hated as a baby already. Poor guy

-Nope, that's not nearly enough. What he needs is something like SRW Dis Astranagant's Ain Soph Aur, an attack the basically rips the victim's body and soul apart across timelines and dimentions. Thus Complete. Utter. Destruction is ensured. But Naruto does not have that epic mecha at his side, so he'll just have to settle for Shiki Fuujin or something.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't completely hate Madara, but probably only because I'm still hoping that Naruto's parents can come back if the Kyuubi is also released...

Kinda a dull chapter since everything that happened was pretty obvious.

So now, Kyuubi is definitely gonna be removed from Naruto, but he will just have enough time to team up with Sasuke to defeat Madara/Kyuubi. He dies and the manga ends.

But then plot twist: Yamato reveals his real purpose of reviving Naruto once the Kyuubi is gone.

I'm seeing a pattern here. Near the end of the series, Kyuubi gets extracted from Naruto but he still lives like nothing happened (influenced by his bloodline and own will to live) and continues to fight Sasuke (+Juubi?).

I think the only good thing about this mini-arc is that we get to see a painful past related to Naruto. But, never surprisingly, Sasuke is still there.

Anyways. With the last few chapters, a few things were cleared, especially the contradictory things that were related to Kyuubi's appearance. That is somewhat okay. (and I have to admit it was good seeing a Sharingan abuse on Kyuubi, once again).
