How to make Japanese audio always play on Dual-Audio titles ?

See title. I've gone to options and on playback I've set Menu and Audio to Japanese, subtitles to English but it doesn't have any effect. in fact, it probably doesn't do anything unless you play a DVD/BD. I hate always having to manually select Japanese when I start new episode, and if I forget and accidentally hear english dub .. oh god no.

Oh yeah, I'm using MPC-HC.

Which splitter are you using? For Haali go into its options, there you can set Japanese as a preferred audio language.

Yup, it works. Thanks!

I've got another problem though, but not sure if I should create new topic for it. Some anime I download, especially the older ones, have subtitles with ugly eye-killing yellow text. Can I somehow manually change it, and perhaps also font to something ugh .. better for the eyes ?

If the sub are hard-subbed, you can't do anything.
If it's soft-subbed, you can extract it and change it with a subtitle editing software (like subtitle workshop or Aegisub). You can probably extract if with mkvextract.
I love my subtitle in srt so I can put them like I like with MPC (size, color, font, and more).
If it's a vobsub subtitle (.sub and .idx sub), you need to use character recognition program (I don't know which).
