Somehow, I manage to fail at that, especially tabbing and crap.

But as I said above I have more a problem with addng more production buildings, for whatever reason I suck at building buildings, and especially building placement.

The other thing is that Terrans recieve huge mineral boosts with MULEs, so I find it hard to keep spending the minerals especially late game. Also adding labs or reactors always confuses me.

We are so on the same wavelength here. Watching these have really shown me how bad I was at the original game. For some reason building a lot of buildings was never something I did much. As long as I have one of everything it's all good .

May never get a beta key, but should have some good strategies in mind to try when the game does come out.

Hmmm

It was rare for use to build more that one of any production building...at least in the same base. Sometimes we might build tow of something so we could have both extentions for that building but that was it. We would never think about having four barracks and building mass marines, probably because out resource income wasn't large enough to handle it, or we produced enough of something so we could get one group and move in.

Hah, hope to see you on battle.net then! But yea, one thing about Starcraft is never get cocky. Even if you think you are good, someone else will put you in your place.

Heck, it just happened right now. I played my placement matches for 1v1 (haven't bothered since the ladder reset) and played Zerg just to screw around. The first 3 games weren't very hard, but by the 4th game I was very full of myself and almost lost to a drop. And then the 5th game came along, and I just got plain destroyed. I guess it'll take more work to reach Platinum. But then again it'd be boring if you could master it so fast.

Hmm, usually this happens because you aren't building that many workers and aren't exploiting your resources enough.

But it is true that SC1 required less buildings. In fact 3 buildings off 1 base was usally considered all-in. But with the new resource boosters, you just need a ton of buildings to get it going.

Lol I mean 3 production buildings off 1 base. Fast expand is pretty much standard in non-mirror matches; PvT having probably more variation

Spent one day perfecting macro in starcraft 2. Got up to platinum because I macroed so well, winning the placement matches, but I'm getting owned there because I have no micro. GG (placement matches are so easy ftw!)

I spend too much time macroing, and never fit in micro. Oh looky, I can mass something, but so can the other guy, except the other guy moves his units around better than I can!

You're going to die trying to get macro and micro in. Game's too fastpaced!!!!

Yea, the game moves so fast, geez.

Anyhow, it'd be nice if people dropped their screen names after all this talk I can't believe I haven't already; I probably have a lot to learn from you folks. But I end up typing more about the game than actually playing.

Stupid revelation of the day: Ghost EMP is good against MMM.

Can you guess why?

I haven't play any Starcraft 2, so this comes only from Starcraft knowledge, but is it because the drain the medivacs energy?

Bingo. Seems obvious and yet isn't. Funny how 1 EMP makes a bunch of 100gas units useless.

[edit] Next,

"What is the only Terran structure that can be placed on creep?"

There's going to be another reset soon to accommodate the new beta participants.

Gah, that means I have to play those placement matches again. :X

As for Terran structures that can build on creep; do auto-turrets count?

Now if only I was one of the new beta participants . Oh well it's only a few more months until the game comes out. Should be interesting enough to keep up with the balance changes as they occur.

2 questions.

#1 How do you get effective scouting in with Zerg and Protoss?
My guess is Zerg overlord suicides and Protoss goes in with observers. But is there a better way to scout with both races?

#2 How do you deal with Siege tank turtling Terrans, as all races.

From my limited knowledge (haven't played SC that much) I would say:

2) VS Siege Tanks:

Zerg: Mass Mutas?
Terran: Nuke <3
Protoss: Immortal (that's the dude with the shield vs strong attacks if my memory serves right)
