ep 6
Jeanne's too OP. Needs a nerf.
A bit slower and more expository this week then usual, but appropriate given that this the first half of a two-parter and we are at halfway point where need to be set up for the second half, especially now that the entire cast has been gathered (in one way or another another). Still going strong though. Favaro is no longer in the dark about what's going, but still wants nothing to do with it, but little does our former bounty hunter know the harder he pushes back the more he's drag in. Moreso now that he's develop some attachment to Amira, no matter how hard he denies it. So yeah perhaps it would be good for him to heed Jeanne's advice about him standing here not being just a mere "accident". Rita is pretty much established as the voice of reason in the group and probably is going to be lynchpin holding everyone together or trying at least. Kaisar was surprisingly reasonable with Favaro this episode and didn't ignore what the later did... at least until he let Favaro provoke him. Amira's has seen better days and is on the verge of becoming emotionally unstable and Lavalley's revelation may make things worse (especially with God Key being the mix... ). I'm not she how she is a half angel though since she shows no traits of being one as from being able to enter the God's realm unlike with her demon half. I suppose it will become apparent later on. I also guess this means that Lavalley isn't human if he's her actual father. Honestly this was certainly something I didn't see coming which makes things all the more interesting on that end. And how about that cliffhanger! After essentially being embarrassed for his failure, shut out of the upper echelons of Cocytus and having his home literally destroyed, I can't imagine Azazel going to settle with just talking Amira back. Not with his mood. I noticed this too, that would be a great twist if is the case. Ironically it would also screw over the people manipulating her unless they knew of the possibly of that happening. I rather liked the Jeane who was not in armor, talking with Favaro. It was a humanizing moment for her and even though she believes that she's destined to pretty much stand at the top of the world (which she does). All we've seen of her is this hardcore female commander who wields holy lances and gives beautiful scowls. While this makes her a human, this doesn't really endear her to us since she's very much a Knight Commander. And from the looks of things, the King is wary of how popular and great she is. Must watch out for that later on.
As for being a half-Angel, not only is she able to walk in Heaven, she knew the unsealing words of the God Key as well. From the sound of it, the unsealing words are unique to each Key being that one is essentially the God Key and the other is the Devil Key. As for Lavalley...just something about him makes me want to think of him as Satan reborn...*shrugs* Just something about his entire setup is just... Y'know, this is fun. I just can't run to the manga to find out if I'm right or not - there is no manga and the game isn't really relevant since this is a prequel to it. Speculation is fun~

Eh, even if it's not much fun I don't really mind - I don't think recap eps are inherently evil, and this one seems to have been planned well beforehand. But the timing is pretty bleh, right in the middle of a cliffhanger... |

But, If Bahamut is that powerful, in such that Archgod and Archdemon need to do sacrifice only to seal him, who and in what purpose does someone release it? For what gain, as if Bahamut is controllable. Or the race for the keys is just for leverage in a God-Demon power play? And Rita...she's keep winning the show, and keeping the team together... |

I can't believe I wrote "aline" instead of of "alive", damn it But yeah, considering how broad the mythos is in this universe, I wouldn't be surprised if Amira turns out to be some sort of homunculus or artificially made being that had memories of her "mother" transplanted into her head at birth or whenever since she seems to have been brain washed or something of the sort.

Although in the card game Bahamut is in the demon faction... and pretty much Lucifer > Satan and Bahamut in the card game.

While I agree, I don't think that's what happened this week. Favaro and Kaiser were just fooling around and enjoying theirself. Probably like they did in their old times. Anyway I don't think any of them was intending go for kill.

Honestly I think it's only obvious because of the OP having her in same position with a sword. If weren't for that everyone would think it would be Favaro since he's the MC and such a hing happening would hilarious since.... well he's far what anyone what one call a savior. Amira role has been more like a catalyst for Bahamut rather than stopping it. Last edited by Iron Maw; 2014-11-11 at 15:35. |

I think Amira's dad is a demon, and her mom is an angel. Because of this relationship, her mom was probably punished and put into a magical slumber. She doesn't know her dad since she only lived with her mom. I think the gathering of the keys is a deal in order for the one behind it to rescue and "release" the mom.

Amira has been shown to be special from the very beginning, and even without the OP, we now know that she's half-demon half-angel. Quote:
She is the person most suited for the job. Now that we know it took a god and a devil coming together and that the God Keys are pretty much their very souls, who better to contain both light and darkness than a half-demon half-angel like Amira? If Bahamut is set free, she would feel responsible for stopping it as well after learning that she's been played. |

Spoiler for Amira the Prophesied Knight?:
Amira would've still been the number one suspect as the prophesied knight. The fact that it was revealed that both Zeus & Satan together were responsible for sealing Bahamut, along with the knowledge that Amira is a half-demon,half-angel and her desperate desire to go to Helheim which hints strongly at her unknowing desire to be seek completion by uniting the two keys is foreshadowing enough. Not that I love the show any less for it though. |

I think Amira was special in that she knew the 'unlocking' method at all. I mean seriously, that's like some regular grunt in whichever national army knowing the actual safe code to get a hold of one of the keys needed to unleash nuclear warheads. (Then you find out that the 'grunt' is a major general's son) That's beyond top secret stuff right there.
