Kamiki was about to shove her down the stairs, and it seems like while he was deterred in the moment, it seems like he wants to kill Ruby before he gets captured as a final act.

Ruby doesn't recognize her father because Aqua apparently didn't tell her, which doesn't surprise me. He doesn't want her to go after him and risk herself, in the same way that he didn't want Akane to go after Kamiki.

As for Kamiki, I think he was about to kill her because he saw she was shining so brightly in that moment, even when there was no guarantee he could get away with it. Dude has so many problems its not funny.

Kamiki entered Akane's eyesight for 2 seconds and she immediately mistook him for Aqua (I'm talking about the chapter way back when she was at some reward ceremony), yet Ruby didn't notice any similarities in this chapter. She also just poured her heart out to a complete stranger.

I'm amazed Kamiki has managed to get away with murder for so long if he's this impulsive.

Nino outright asks Kamiki if Akane has been following him, there is zero doubt she has been stalking him this entire time. Ruby almost getting pushed down the stairs and Akane saving her in the nick of time is a nice call-back to the time Aqua saved Akane herself from a potentially deadly fall down the stairs.

Anyway, with this Akane is finally relevant again and back on the potential death list. I don't think Kamiki likes what she's doing very much, and he's shown interest in her in the past when he sent her flowers. Kana is probably the safest of the three heroines at the moment.

Kana seems to have missed how many laps Ruby is now ahead. Where does this leave the Akane X reincarnation ship? Feels like we added a few flags.

This chapter cemented Kana's victory. The girl who loves the MC so much she's willing to let him go if it means he'll be happier will definitely be the winner.

Aqua is fully back to black Sharingans. A lot of good Ruby did.

Kana is defined by (almost) always being wrong. She's wrong here again. As much as I love Akane, it's 100% either Kana (most likely) or Ruby (still likely, just less so).

Also, Kana still hadn't given up on him by the time of the movie interviews, so this obviously doesn't stick for long with her.

Well, Kana all but assured her own victory with that move. The seires could throw a curveball, but being willing to put your love interest's happiness first is usually a winning move.
