I don't think so personally. The best it can do is to sell 1000 copies, and I'm not talking about the average sales... well one of the Kill me Baby's volumes managed to sell 1000 copies with the DVD copies, so....

TBF that far from gives us the whole picture if you study these sorts of things enough you'll notice amazon preorders are far from a deffinate reference of how something is going to sell, sometimes it'll just sell lower on amazon but better somewhere else.

Certainly isn't a good indication but it doesn't exactly count it out from selling middling, though it's more unlikely. Current preorder points put it near 1,00 points for comparson Kuroko has almost 4,000. So yeah not great, well see if it manages middling.

@Westlo, You say that medaka box was ranked 5th last, 6th last in the last three issues but in the same sense there was probably about 12 series being ranked at the time due to new series not being ranked and absentees making it actually ranking in the middle of the toc.

Color page will feature Kumagawa in a new attire (not sure), Medaka in bra and jeans, Kikaijima, Takarabe, Tachiarai, Ajimu and Aka.

Mogura's style is Misconversion (gohenkan) Style. From what I understood, it's about kana to kanji conversion. Since kanji have many different spellings and many overlapping readings, she changes a reading to the wrong kanji, creating an effect. The example the spoilers gives is this:

ぶ厚い氷 -> ぶ熱い氷 : Both are read buatsui koori, but one means heavy ice while the other means hot ice.

What happened with Jokers is also explained. They were apparently taken with Medaka, but I'm not sure how it all went down.

(But due to it's following and standing it was given an extended ending of sorts) The sales for it far exceeded Medaka Box.... I would've thought mentioning how better selling manga titles like Bleach and Mago have had "editorial" input for ranking low for periods of times would clue you in, but obviously I overestimated you.

It's doing better than most of Medaka box arcs but even this arc is approaching that level.

The entire purpose of an anime is to promote the original source, whether it be a manga, a video game, a light novel or a visual novel, etc. They adapted from the start because Gainax are a shell of their former selves and have no idea why this manga became popular in the first place.

And if you guys even payed attention THERE WAS NO JOKER SECTION. that was like two chapters which according to 8 week rule wouldn't be included in the current ratings, either the end of Aijimu arc arc was fine as well as the begining of black wedding arc, (not including the two joker chapters), or the 8 rule doesn't completely apply. Chapter 150 has Medaka finishing an amazing 6th from the bottom, equal in your words to the likes of the Treasure Hunting arc which had a Top 5 and several 6th and 7th placements.

How about we do this more accurately than random snap shots which are incomparible and tell us nothing. End of minus arc rankings FROM BOTTOM (since the top is usally filled with colour pages new mangas and the fact the magazine had different numbers of manga's at different times which would skewer results if we looked at it that way.

78-86 Minus arc. 3rd from last, colour,7 from last, 7 from last, 10th from last (best), 3rd from last colour page, 2nd to last, 6th from last.

136-143 Aijimu arc, 3rd from last, colour, 6th from last, 8th from last, 4th from last, 5th from last, 5th from last, 6th from last.

Minus arc did better but it wasn't massively so, and it was a lot more volitile.

So yeah fantastic it did sooo bad.

And so we again go the the endless cycle if Medaka box rankings with someone else or maybe even you later on bring this sit up again when something happens in the manga they don't like.

Never been much of an Akune fan, but Kikaijima...definitely.

I'll be honest, the 3 characters I miss the most and who I want more screentime are Shiranui, Munakata and Hinokage. Those three deserve more screentime than what they are given xD
