Garage Kits are usually extremely difficult to find. You also have to fully assemble and paint them. Normally, not many are made (20~100), and are sold at some events in Japan. However, some companies like ques Q take garage kits and mass-produce them as PVC figures for sale, so there's still hope.

SAO is the first series in awhile that's convinced me to buy the JPN blu-ray releases. I'll prob end up getting the LE/First Print versions of all the volumes, though I doubt that sword will be available to overseas buyers. I'm just hoping the normal online vendors will have nice store exclusives to make up for it.

Heh, I can guarantee that there will be tons of cosplayers out there who manage to make that sword for under $50 and it'll still look great. xD Interesting idea for a giveaway though!

I'm sure it's a real sword, since otherwise all that just for a chance to win cardboard? Doesn't seem practical. However, I doubt it's "forged". It'd probably just cut like a lot of replica swords are. Much cheaper, but still retains the "metal" factor.

On a side note there maybe be something else for Asuna's sword and Kirito's other sword Dark Repulser.
