Heh, didn't realize at first that the anime finally reached Zou. Well, here's the new thread! |

I've finally caught up with One Piece after my 2 month hiatus. The pacing is a little better now, and the change of scenery really helped. I kept laughing at Robin's comments on Ryunosuke... well, all she keeps repeating is "kawaii". The reason I was laughing was that Robin could have easily helped out with her powers, especially when it was about to fall. But nope, she kept on just enjoying the ride and saying "kawaii".
As for the mention of the corpse, I keep thinking Brook. However, since we've only seen Nami and Chopper in the previews, maybe something bad did happen to Sanji and Brook. Brook can't die, and I don't think Sanji will be permanently dead. So far, this arc is a bit interesting, especially considering that I pretty much erased any memories of the last, horrendously long arc.

OK, that's a new low. They are now showing still shot images in place of action scenes. Add to that, the new longer time of 6 minutes before the episode truly begins is atrocious. Well, there are still the long stare downs and repeated fight sequences. It is what it is, but they just won't do anything to fix the pacing problem.
However, back to the story, Jack, who obviously ate a devil fruit, was unaffected when the rainstorm flooded the streets with sea water. He should have been weakened and useless at that point, but somehow he still was able to stand up fine. I'm not sure how they are going to explain that, but considering they brushed right through it, they will probably just leave it unexplained (or an error). I still like the show, but it is really trying my patience. They really should just do what a lot of anime series do nowadays... have 15 minute episodes instead of the 30 minute block.

At this point I'm just looking forward to Brook's Nekomamushi Song animated.

Chopper headbutted Caesar somehow even though Caesar isn't wearing the handcuffs anymore? I guess Chopper can use haki.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Zoan devilfruit probably grows somewhere in Zoa. With all these furries around you'd think there has to be a connection. But then again maybe that's a little too obvious? |

Wow! That really surprised me! It just shows how noble the people of the Mink Tribe are. It was so emotionally charged that the surprise was that much more powerful.
I was thinking that they might be going to the Wako kingdom next, but I think Luffy will have to help Sanji first.

I don't get it. If Kaido continually wants to commit suicide and die, then why is he interested in executing the Momo's father and occupying the Land of Wano? Unless I'm misinterpreting things?
