Upcoming episodes on ANN and Newtype:

19. The Blue Sky Perishes (蒼天已死 Sōten sudeni shisu)
20. The Yellow Sky Rises (黄天當立 Kōten masani tatsubeshi)
21. At a Total Loss (五里霧中 Gorimuchū)

I find the episode titles for 19 and 20 interesting, especially it relates to an old era dying ushering a new ruler: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Turban_Rebellion

The full yojijukugo phrase: The Blue Sky (ie. the Han Dynasty) has perished, the Yellow Sky (ie. the rebellion) will soon rise; in this year of Jia Zi, let there be prosperity in the world!" (蒼天已死,黃天當立。歲在甲子,天下大吉。)
Yellow Turbans = Yellow Scarves.

That reminds me that Mamoru Miyano voiced Cao Cao in Souten Kouro. He's the one that came up with the slogan in there (yeah, they changed quite a few things in it).

Very good titles. They're foreshadowing the fall of the Dollars (Mikado is always associated with blue), though I'd be VERY surprised if it really happened. I guess it might just mean Mikado is going to get his ass handed to him.

Aren't they actually referring to the past (19) and the present (20)? The Yellow Scarves once had an altercation with the Blue Squares, didn't they? Which ended with the Blue Squares 'losing', and Masaomi leaving his own group.

They're not referring to the Dollars with the title "The Blue Sky Perishes"

They're referring to the Blue Square gang. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I remember around episode 5, somebody said that the Yellow scarves and the Blue squares had this huge fight one day leaving both gangs wiped out. (The yellow flags were reformed later on, as seen in the current arc).

Though if that's the case, it doesn't make any sense that the next episode after that would be titled "The Yellow Sky Rises."

Yellow sky = Yellow scarves.

My guess is that episode 19 is going to be a flashback episode, while episode 20 would take place in the present.

Anyway, this arc looks like it's going to be the best out of the last 2.

You guys are right. Since Mikado is in blue in the opening and in lots of fanarts, he was the first one I thought of. I completely forgot about the Blue squares, thanks for reminding me. I thought Kida's flashback would be handled in episode 18, it looks like it'll last longer than I expected.

I think that the color gang names are very nonthreatening and silly at the same time.

Yellow Scarves and Blue Squares? What's next Green Goblins and Pink Triangles?

I think it would be better if they call it Yellow Goons or the Blue Bastards.

Just unloading my thoughts.

Well, the Yellow Scarves were created by a middle schooler, and it wasn't supposed to be a threatening gang at first so I'm fine with the name.

So, since the flashback was all done in episode 18, maybe I was right after all? . There's no hint of any more flashbacks in the preview either.

How about the yellow bellies and the Blue bloods? Works like a charm. I assure you, they will love their new names. =)

This may come as quite the surprise, though Beez has licensed Durarara anime for a release in the UK. OH HELL YES.

Hey guys. I just wanted to pose a question I was ask by someone, who is also watching Durarara. How did Haruna get infected by Saika and didn't know that she had a Mother Anri?

I don't think it was ever explained to my memory.

Think this was already announced, but the 13th DVD is going to have a bonus epilouge (episode 25, the one coming out in August is titled 12.5). Article here, and I think it says that Narita wrote the script for the episode but I'm not positive if they meant episode 24 or 25.

It was never clearly explained in the series, but I'm sure Arabesque's speculation was spot on.

I knew about episode 25 but not episode 12.5! And I think they're talking about episode 25, the line about ep 24 is just a reminder the anime will end soon.

Yeah she has. She's the idol singer that Saburo Togusa likes. She becomes more of a main character later.

(Besides, if her image on MAL is from the anime, of course she's made an appearance )

That information has not been officially confirmed yet as far as I know.

I never liked Bacanno so I desided to give this a chance.
Impressions on episodes 1-4

Spoiler:

And the next episodes procceed equally uniteresting until that RETARDED DUO RETURNS MID-SEASON. And that is where I dropped it. Geez, those were the reason I couldn't watch more of 10 minutes of Bacanno and now they are back. Seriously, I gave the series 11 episodes to amaze me and I got Jack from it. In fact, nothing much happened after episode 4. And I hear it becomes far less interesting in the later half. LESS INTERESTING THAN THIS??? DEAR LORD, I won't even bother.

Once again, it's one of those overhyped series that has nothing to offer in the long run. I give it a 6/10 for the whole plot mess but THAT IS THAT. I wasn't entertained at all.

If it wasn't for FMAB, this entire year would be completely shit.
