All the characters in Bleach speak Japanese, since it is a Japanese manga. I'm not sure if Kubo speaks English or not.

Can someone explain why when Uliqu tranformed into R1 Ichigo felt his reaitsu as heavy rain.

But when Espada 3-1 released the Captains before them didnt seem to get phased but at most become cautious.

I don't know about you but the Original manga and Anime of Bleach, they all speak Japanese, as the Fictional Karakura town is located in Japan

Because Ulquiorra was hyped up a lot more than the other three...or maybe they were prepared for something like that, while Ichigo didn't know what he got in store.

Ulq also mentioned (self proclaimed?) that he was the only one to achieve Segunda Etapa (2nd stage) so he might not have been #4 at all (in that form).

IIRC He said he was the only Espada to have a Segunda Etapa, not achieve it. Its possible, and very likely imo, that he merely split his powers into 2 states, much like Starrk split himself into 2 arrancars. Besides, Ai-chan knows how powerful Ulquiorra was before he became an Arrancar so he would still be able to accurately judge Ulquiorra's power level in comparison to the other Espada.

Same goes for at least another 20 characters, they are not referenced because the cast is too big at this point. For similar examples, see the rookie teams from Naruto; they exist, just don't do anything.

ikkaku is still bleeding in shame for having been beaten by a whale because he didn't want to show his bankai then finding out iba (and now komamura) knew about his bankai anyway.

yumichika is still passed out somewhere after kira spit that magic drug on him.

How much of a difference is there between Yoruchi's shunko and Soifons?

Some say just power but others say Soifon is at least 1 stage behind Yoruchi's complete technique...

Shunko is a power-amplifying technique, go to the databook entries and find their respective stats, then multiply their hand-to-hand with their kidou skill to the power of 1.5 to find out their final power output.

If Ichigo's bankai uniform represents his reiatsu level, shouldn't it be steadily (if slowly) decomposing? I know the terms reiatsu and reiryoku seem to have got combined under the name of reiatsu (I always thought of reiryoku as the amount of stored energy, and reiatsu as power output). Does this odd stipulation also mean that when Ichigo goes full hollow against Ulquiorra he was only at half his potential level, or will that be forgotten?
