reread an episode and it gives you an option to select a scene. That's the menu for selecting scenes.

I'm also having this issue, except with Episode 6.

The game will crash at random and sprites (commonly Dlanor) won't show up when they talk. The background art also gets replaced with a black screen at random. It usually happens in scenes where the setting is at the Cathedral.

By the way, Episode 6 felt very long... are the Chiru ones actually longer than the originals, or am I just imagining it?

You are imagining things.
Size wise, it is like this:
4 > 6 > 5 > 3 > 2 > 1

Episode 6 is slightly longer than Episode 5. I don't have the specific script size though.

Oh yeah, episode 4 was epically long. Especially the Tea Party, heh.

Although, looking at the comparisons, it does seem they've consistently got longer with the exception of ep 4, so I guess that's where I got the impression.

Writers tend to write more and more each new story they write. This is fairly common.

According to the VN/Eroge Script Sizes on TLwiki, Ep5 is 9712 lines, and Ep6 is 10502 lines. Ep 1-4 combined is 39655 lines. And as far as I know, one line = one click of the mouse...

Has anyone gotten to run the latest patch version on Linux?

I tried with the latest SVN onscripter version and I get the patch not installed properly screen. However, running the embedded executable with wine does work.

edit: it seems some people were having an independent issue that has already been solved. So I guess I'm the odd one out

Yeah, for now I'd suggest uninstalling the game/patch and reinstalling from an admin account. That's what I did to stop the problem.
