Episode 1:
That was fun, loved the way they introduced some of the humor and satire. Then, we got the debut of Handa-kun in the flesh. I find the way that he misunderstands others to be very amusing so far. In general, I think the show has good humor so far especially with the character interactions and dialogues. Animation quality feels slightly inferior compared to Barakamon but I'm okay with it. Definitely a fun show so far.

Yeah.... that was worse than I expected (*this is coming from a big fan of Barakamon manga).
Just an absolutely useless framing device, and while the actual story is amusing enough... it doesn't feel like it's differentiated itself enough to other high school comedy out there, at least not yet.

What a trash introduction. It wasn't even funny nor interesting and was way too long. I almost stopped the vid if my hands weren't busy with something else. Good thing it moved to the main segment before it was too late. The actual show was ok. The misunderstandings humour and calligraphy jokes were funny. The illegible letter was the tops for me. Episode titles are lame in a meaningless way though.

Ugh, starting the series this way really wasn't a good idea. It might be funny for fans of the manga, but for people unfamiliar with those characters, it was just plain boring going through this while waiting for the real episode to start.
Unfortunately, even the real episode wasn't very good. I'm not sensing the charm of Barakamon.

wish they just done another season of Barakamon, that was so good.
The girl was cute though, pity we all know nothing will come of it, pretty sure his not even friends with them in the future making this whole prequel useless..ugh this is the main reason i hate prequels we all know how its gonna turn out.

that was weird....
skiped the first 10min altogether and nearly just alt-f4ed the ep right there, that was SO bad. the actual episode was just only slightly better, handa's unintentional delinquency was fun but .... meh best part was the opening it reminded me of maria holic s2 epic super sentai opening 'ill give it another ep or maybe 2 but not a good start |

Not impressed, diomedia. Not happy AT ALL.
The first ten minutes of the Handa crew BSing about things? THAT WAS NOT NEEDED. Once the episode started, it was okay....nothing against Shimazaki, but I miss Ono as Handa. Maybe it would've worked better as a short.
