I dont know if the translation was correct. But i want to know what Meiren meant when she said "That she was Akira's only true love" It obvious she knows Akira before he lost his memory. But whats their connection im thinking she is a werewolf just from a different clan than Akira. It would not be unusual for their to be separate clans of the same species, look at humans.

I've done a big blog post about Yuuki Aoi, including a video clip of Chiwa, Nakamura Yuuichi and her doing a several-minute promo feature for this show, just before it started. I was amazed at how much info and how many pics and videos of her there were around. Including one video from when she was ten and a regular on a TV show.

The top show of the winter season, for me.
I surprised myself near the end of episode 12 by having the full feeling in my chest that means a real emotional experience. There was just so much more to this show than to any other show this season, for me. It had an emotional seriousness no other show came close to. I see all its faults. And even I was disappointed not to get one particular image in this episode. But the faults seemed shallow to me, and the strengths deep. The basic situations were amazing. And the music and images were used brilliantly to make the melodrama work -- like winking at us to defuse our resistance to the emotion. Durarara is more perfect, but that show just seems so much more at the emotional surface to me than this one, which let us feel its characters more deeply. Sora no Woto created emotion, but seemed to draw it up suddenly rather than developing it throughout. Baka to Test is what it is: humor and animation. Nodame Cantabile just isn't grabbing me any more. And Hanamaru Kindergarten ran one trope into the ground. At least, that's my summary of the best shows of the season.

Geez, just to episodes behind to finish Dance in the Vampire Bund.
My thoughts about the tenth episodes can be summarized in one word: Fantastic!! This episode was one-half anime-original material and the latter half manga-adapted material. Spoiler:
Now, we have the manga-adapted half. Spoiler:
In no way I'm upset about the changes they made in this episode. Quite contrary, I'm excited, but that means they'll have to tightly condense the 4th and 5th manga volumes by dropping off lots of material for the last two anime episodes. |
