Nod, no caps, as in the Brotherhood of Nod. It's one of two factions in the Command and Conquer games, and are typically cast as antagonists. The Global Defense Initiative hates them with a pure and unholy passion.
This is probably because at one point, Nod framed GDI for terrorist attacks and very nearly managed to get GDI shut down by the UN.

My unholy brother, you can always join the Black Legion to be one with the ranks of Chaos Undivided, where worshiping all four Gods don't end up having your empty cranium on someone else axes, swords and other pointy wargears.(Except if you are in Imperial space, then Good Luck convincing others to join the Chaos with the Holy Shit Marine on your back while I'm training to be a Chaos Space Marine, gotta love those bolters, especially one possessed by Daemon.)

No, I've recently been doing an experiment with modifying the Coalesced.ini file for Mass Effect 3, which controls the game preferences. The effectiveness has been kinda hit and miss.

I thought you were talking about a modification to the GAU-8 Avenger Gatling Gun into a Assault Cannon/rifle configuration that any TSF could use. I was planning on putting a throwaway line about how stupid the idea was (IRL, during the 1990's Gulf War some F-16s were tested with a GAU-8 Gunpod in the hopes of replacing the A-10. It didn't work.)

The ME3 Avenger is a crappy POS gun that's only useful on Bronze and only for a power-reliant class, and only worth carrying if you haven't done any of the Weekend Challenges and gotten yourself a Hurricane, which is hands down best SMG ever. The GAU-8 Avenger is everything I wish I had in that game, hence my attempt to mod the game to give me an Avenger analogue.
What wavehawk is referring to is the GAU-13, which is a cut down 4-barreled version of the Avenger, carried in the GPU-5 gunpod. The idea was that you'd stick one on these on an F-16's centerline station and use it for strafing. It was unsatisfactory in service, given that after ten rounds it was hilariously inaccurate. The other issue with a handheld TSF GAU-13 is that the A-10 can mount two GAU-8s because of its great weight. The heavier you are, the more mass you have to spread out the effects of recoil.

On another note with the A-10, it kept on flashing past my mind that Gundam Heavyarms Custom would make a very good partner.
