Now you mention it...
There was a lot of controversy about the meaning of 'choking' in 'Japanese' music terms. Well Mio obviously meant bending, but hey! I understand why people get confused about it. I thought it was palm muting myself, that's why I didn't mention 'choking' when I asked the question, since I ruled out palm muting already. But boy am I wrong. Thanks for pointing it out.

For anyone who has the K-ON! Official Band Yarou Yo! CD/book, what's an "NG Take"? Is the NG short for "no good" (the opposite of OK in Japlish, meaning NG Take is a sloppy way of playing), or is an NG Take an actual style of playing? I see that some of the tracks on the 2nd CD (the How To Play Cagayake! Girls one) are called "NG Takes".

This guy has good lessons for near-absolute beginners for playing Cagayake! Girls. I literally learnt to play guitar yesterday over YouTube and I could follow this, so... |

I enjoyed the song "Hold Onto your Love" (track 15) of the ost.
Using this video, i've started a tab for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0k6C7XXAFE I don't know if i've got all the notes right, and i can guarantee that the timing isn't right. But hey, this is my first tab. Massive thanks to the person who posted that video. As of writing this, i'm about half way through the faster part, and i'll update this post. If anyone would like to assist, feel free. http://rapidshare.com/files/31724322..._love.gp5.html Don't forget, i'm attempting to tab his cover, and not the actual song. Or for those of you who just want to take a quick look at the tab, and/or don't have guitar pro, heres the ascii export from guitar pro: (note: use the video for timing, some parts i didn't bother getting the right note lengths for, and just wanted to get the right notes down) Code:

Well early Merry Christmas, here's my gift to you musicians
https://download.yousendit.com/Z01QaUNPK3h5UkhIRGc9PQ It's the drums for Watashi no Koi wa Hachikisu, beginning has a 8 beat countoff before the drums kick in, the tempo is 130 BPM. I programmed the MIDI file and used the K-On score book that I just got so if you have the book you know whats happening. The software used is EXDdrummer. I would still classify this as a work in progress but its good enough to play along to. Now I'll take a count of what the next song should be for drums, I'm thinking Cagayake Girls or Fuda pen Ball Pen.... Last edited by rockmanxpr; 2009-12-16 at 14:29. |
