I'm like 60% sure that Metal Knight is the actual Mad Cyborg and he killed a bunch of people rebelling against Bofoi, presumably his "creator"

Though it is OPM, so that could be completely off the mark

Honestly, I felt Drive Knight was the actual culprit ever since he first tried to get Genos to be wary of Metal Knight. One of those "Well, Metal Knight is TOO suspicious, so he's probably just a jerk like Batman is occasionally written as" while Drive Knight is the actual baddy.

The way it was set up, the actual plot twist would be if everything Drive Knight said was truth.

I won't be surprised if Bofoi is not an evil guy. The story is trying so hard to get us to believe that Bofoi is the villain behind in every incident in the manga.

Most likely he is just a paranoid old guy.

They really changed everything in both versions.

I like how Genos can easily accepting Saitama's request for being his insurance in case things went south when the enemy he wants to kill is his life goal.

Genos is probably know too well in his deep heart that he will job or lose.

What if it turns out that the robots wanted to attack the building but in reality it was the study machines that exploded after checking Saitamas power level. Kinda overloaded and exploded injuring the doctor in the process, that would be a twist.

And didn't see that coming that someone relevant actually died here. Isn't this is bad news for Genos as there won't be any competent scientist/engineer who will help/repair/upgrade him in the future if he screwed up again in the upcoming battles?

Also, I still doubt that Metal Knight is the villain here.

It's already been established that there are other genius engineers, though. Child Emperor is one, for instance. We also know the Neo Heroes have been creating their own cyborgs (heck, they might even be the true perpetrators of this current attack), and there's even Bofoi, proven he's not actually the villain he's being built up to be. So despite this tragic loss, I wouldn't say that Genos is out of options as far as maintenance/upgrades are concerned.

Since this thread was bumped...

This manga has become so incredibly boring. The only thing it has going for it anymore is Murata's art. I remember when the first season ended and Murata said he'll do his best to complete the next arc quickly so the anime can continue... what a fucking joke. This arc has been going on forever, and its pacing is total shit. Nevermind that Murata also wastes time redrawing previous chapters because... I don't know.

Yeah, hence I semi-dropped this manga. I have lost interest on this manga over time. Not helping when even the original chapters were in hiatus.

Spoiler for original 133: I gotta say, despite Murata's superior art in the remake version, this chapter proves ONE's no slouch himself, when he gets down to it. Suiryu vs. Garou was pretty freaking insane, art-wise. Anyway, Suiryu is also a dick for destroying that delivery truck (Garou even tried to stop him). I also feel a bit bad for Garou... the guy was only trying to make an honest buck before those heroes spoiled everything. Yes, he may be a wanted criminal, but remember that he never actually killed any heroes (he only crippled a few, at worst). It looks like the guy's trying to redeem himself, but the hero society sure as heck aren't gonna make that an easy task....

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	Once again, this nearly flew under my radar, but three original version chapters recently came out: Spoiler for original 134-136: So, the main things to take away from this are that Saitama is already being acknowledged by a couple of the top Neo Heroes (and seems to have gained a new groupie with Suiko to boot ), the conspiracy behind Metal Knight/Bofoi deepens even further (so Child Emperor was his former protege, eh....?), and Pri Pri Prisoner was able to gain the respect of Neo leader Raiden.... but apparently lost his own followers in the process. Anyway, time for Saitama and Genos to get to the bottom of this whole cyborg plot.....

marvelB Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005	More original version chapters out, so a bump: Spoiler for 138+139: First chapter explores hero politics a bit more, as one of Saitama's hero buddies lecture Blast on how to become a more influential hero. He doesn't seem to take the advice to heart, though (which is admittedly hard to argue, considering he one-shotted a Dragon level monster ). Meanwhile, Mumen Rider gets an upgrade of his own (courtesy of Neo), and we get an update on S-class hero Zombieman, who seems to be busy training. And his latest sparring partner is..... Ashura Kabuto?! The next chapter involves Genos teaming up with Drive Knight to exterminate some monster wildlife (figures a RABBIT would be the Dragon level threat ). After completing their mission, the two cyborg heroes continue the conversation they had so long ago about Metal Knight/Bofoi. As it turns out, Drive Knight also had a run-in with that same "mad cyborg" from Genos' origin story! And that cyborg may be a part of Bofoi's army of killer machines! And so, DK asks Genos to team up with him and make a preemptive strike on Bofoi before the scientist's robot army sets out for world domination.....!!!! ....Personally, I gotta say, as interesting as that latter development may be, I sorta can't help but feel that this seems a little too convenient for Genos. We've known for a long time that he wanted to get revenge on the mad cyborg, and now Drive Knight offers him the opportunity to do so right out of the blue? This may very well be a setup for a trap......

Together, he and the bald one pay a visit to Dr. Kuseno, who they also bring up to speed on the situation. The good doctor is understandably worried at first, but soon takes note of how Saitama helps the young cyborg keep a cool head. Genos soon decides to confront Bofoi with his master at his side, the latter of whom agrees to let Kuseno study him after being treated to dinner (and fixing his Game Boy ). However, in the middle of the analysis, tragedy suddenly strikes.....!!!!

After a grueling battle, he emerges victorious, but even more robots appear.... but thankfully, he has Saitama backing him up now. Sadly, the good Dr. Kuseno succumbs to the fatal wounds the killer droids inflicted upon him, but not before leaving Genos one final upgrade. As he and Saitama set out to confront Metal Knight, they realize the situation is more dire than they thought.... for the robot army's invasion has begun....!!!!!
