Hi I know this is out of the blue but I need a mentor. It's for a school assignment and it's due next monday. It's basically to find a mentor to guide you and help you with your career choice. My career choice is Architecture.
If you know any Architects please contact me or reply to this thread

If I was you, I wouldn't ask the advise of people who

1. force you to call them sensei
2. make others their slave

but that's just me

Career choice is best consult with an one-on-one basis as you need to share a lot of private information with the other side.

You will have to learn a program called AutoCAD then You will learn the basic of 3Dstudio Max.

In architecture you will only learn the basic of 3D. that means, only modeling houses and square thingies. wich is kinda boring

If you wanna 3D animator and 3D Gamemaker you will learn FULL 3D studio max, Maya, Softimage XSI, AVID, Renderman, Unreal game engline, advenced photoshop, Flash gaming programming and character design. In this field is crazy ! Not just that. but you also need skills at drawing. Stuff that as been done in the movie : day after tomorrow: Matrix: finding nemo: the incredibles: and any 3d games. IS fun as hell ! ShowBiz = $$$

Wow, if I'm right, you're a student at Schroeder HS, right? I am , too. As far as I know, we don't need to find mentors on our own. School personnels will find them for us.

umm I still haven't found someone and this assignment is due this thursday. Actually I tried this architect forum but I need the address of the person but I feel weird asking a complete stranger their address.
