Holy crap! I was going to watch it because of the futuristic theme, but in the first 3-5 seconds we get some inappropriate fanservice shot, totally not needed. then like 5 more seconds later we get a close up of some underage girls ass and pussy imprint on her daisy dukes?!?!?! that girl didn't look older than 11 either! WTF Japan. There is another anime that has this same premise that was aired like three years ago and was amazing. I thought it was going to be like that, so I had high hopes, I was shocked to see a pedobear approved show shoved down my throat in the first 15 damn seconds of that show. . .I can't believe you guys got through that. . . .I think I'm going to have to re-evaluate the anime community, the people in it, and my place in it, because this shit was just plain out offensive.

I thought the episode had a good atmospheric balance throughout, between the girls coping with Akane being out of commission and then working together to plant the bomb inside the Alone. Their friendship reminds me of the Sailor Senshi and how everyone else that was Tsukino Usagi was close to their Princess. Akane/Usagi are the glue that holds the Vivid Team/Senshi together, and they are what inspire the others to press on in spite of the situation they're in.
While I'm starting to wonder when HomuRei is ever going to find out the opposition she's fighting is standing right in front of her, my reason for that is she's too focused on ramping up the Alones' power to put two and two together and go WTF at the realization. Her talk with Aoi left me feeling uneasy. I can see Akane forgiving her for causing them so much trouble, but supporting Rei on her campaign to destroy the current world to bring back the parallel world? "Do your best", indeed; Rei's going to need a friggin' miracle for that to happen. Oh, and let's compound that with the Dreaded Crow-Kun putting her through another round of the You Failed Again, Suffer For Your Incompetence torture session. That's what I believe caused Rei to have that breakdown. (I can also imagine her breaking character for a few minutes screaming a litany of curses taken directly from Telltale's The Walking Dead.) |

Rei needs to desperately re-evaluate her life. She's still under the belief that the crow has all the answers for her, but if she was really that benevolent, why is she torturing Rei whenever she fails? Furthermore, what happens fi she shoots all her arrows, yet still doesn't accomplish what she set out to do? Also, what does the crow want from all this?
Still a lot of unanswered questions. I like how they handled the 'cannot dock' thing. It forced the girls to be more creative and really test their friendship. Of course, it was mighty convenient how Akane used some sort of spiritual energy to give Aoi that much-needed boost, but I'll let that slide. Taking this show too seriously is kinda pointless to begin with.

Episode 08
Oh, the return of the Futaba tilt-rotors I'm wondering though why there's no plan B if the girls are unable to fight. That's the best they have? A bomb that can obliterate a large area? You think by now there'd be a top secret weapons program designed to protect Blue Island after all these interdiction's
Ah maybe there's budget cuts. Harsh times even in that world they placed all their hopes on a stuffed animal and his grand-daughter, they're humans too! They need rest! Nutrients! Free year's supply of Mayo Ahem.... oh well, at least the 3 girls fought together, I tell you I was breathless during that great action scene, ain't such a good idea to hold my breath but seriously, it was a great plan. Except for the part where I wonder why they didn't attach the bomb to Aoi-chan's hammer to begin with. Wouldn't it have been easier for her to hammer that thing in at first like she eventually did? I loved it anyways, Wakaba and HimaHima getting closer and closer, and the thing where the boomerang became extra thrusts and wings was unexpected Still very much NOT liking the Rei-chan torture. As her first friend, I demand that silly crow leave her Alone! You know, what with all that red eye powers of that crow, why doesn't that silly bird just glare at the engine all day, that ought to overload it And as Rei-chan's first friend, I want to post more pictures of her Quote:

We will be far far away when we blow this up, don't worry.
============== Now on several pressing issues. SGE Bombs? What are these things? Why are they so feared that only 109 were made (for the UDF), and they were horrified to even suggest using them? Are these the new nukes/N2 bombs of the era? I would like to see more hardware in action. Also the usage of SAoE is kinda iffy at this point, even I want an all-out attack instead of just trickling down the Alones at this point.

Why are we referring to them by their pallet suit colours (excluding those that are uniform)? Unless... your are referring to the fusions...
Then Akane and Wakaba is(are? fusion logic...) taking Akane and Himawari out?!

For one thing because each of them IS that color in hair, clothing, etc. For another, each of them actually has the color in their name. It is not, in fact, wrong to call Aoi "Blue" because "aoi" literally means "blue." Similarly, each girl has a word that means their color in their name.

Don't get me wrong, I see nothing jarring about addressing them as such; I thought that the interrobang would show that I was not dead set on addressing them by their name but the fusions do officially have the colors in their names without any translation so I was joking about Akane taking herself out in a threesome.

Have now know the reason for the other girls are not docking they come ... any thing that Ishiki-sensei would think of ... he should have suspected that this would happen to see Akane seriously injured one day or the other

Because I can? There's no special reason and you clearly know who I'm talking about. The girl's colors are a main theme about it and it's impossible to mistake which color refers to who. I suppose if you must have a reason I just consider it a nickname for the girls.
