This spin off, like it's cousin, Vesperia, seems rather shallow(even for a jRPG) character designs look extremely bland, not expecting anything remotely interesting from the story, and music, but hopefully the combat system will make up for it all.

I hope Lloyd completely pwns the new guy in the beginning... if the new guy is on equal footing in combat skill to Lloyd that would be a complete slap to the face to Kratos.

New gameplay video from some TV show. Talking over, but it's nice to see a battle from beginning to end. Plus the new main battle theme seems to be a remix of Full Force.

Also, the soundtrack will be released on the 9th July on the usual 4 discs, for 4200 Yen, containing 82 tracks.

I still think the best Tales battle theme will always be Fighting of The Spirit from Phantasia.

I saw Alice in there with some sort of foot stomp/grind technique. That's the stuff. I've gotta say, using the games own in engine skit system as a way for the characters to comment on the trailer and listening to some of their reactions was quite amusing. This is the stuff good trailers are made of.

This video got me excited for the game!

But I fear hearing the deredere lines from Marta said in English by an English voice actor for some reason...
Maybe someone will upload play videos of the (Japanese) game... I'd watch them all.

Emil seems to have split personalities (due to Ratatosk or something)? Sometimes being a wimp, and other times, he's one of those "ore-sama" characters.

I just can't get over that heel grind attack. From the looks of it it had an ougi picture of Alice before it, but it's hard to make out who exactly it's being used on. I wonder if it's just for a joke attack or what. In fact I wonder if Alice and co are even supposed to be serious enemies or not.

I didn't notice the ougi picture, but what a strange (and weak? Emil seemed to have blocked it) ougi... It seems to be a close ranged ougi (really close range) that sends hearts out in front of her...

It's probably being used on Emil. The party consisted of (looking at the bottom) two monsters, Emil, and Marta, and the person being attacked was male and had Emil's hair color.

I assume Alice and Decus will be serious enemies (because of their horrible personalities) for part of the game, but I bet some great evil will pop up at some time, pushing these two aside (or killing them).

Just realized, but Decus, Alice, and Tenebrae's profiles updated on the official website with official artwork to replace the game screenshots.

Her english VA better be good! I was pretty happy with the english VA in the first game, especially Presea and Sheena's VAs. I don't say this very often, but ToS had good english VAs, I hope they dont screw it up.

Well, this is my first post besides the introduction so I hope this is a good one.
I am very much looking forward to the release of this game in America. I enjoyed the first one and I am hoping to enjoy this one too. I know that the monster catching portion of this game may be a turn off to some, but I am going to give it a chance. I am just wondering if the US release is going to have anthing added to it or will be missing some parts that are going to be japanese exclusives. In just less than three days the title will be released in Japan and I hope to hear some postitive things from this game.
