I just realized this isn't the first rime Rina Satou did the conserve energy bit. Her character Misaka Mikoto did that as well in OAV shorts.

I haven't figured out if Makoto is the luckiest fifth-grade boy in Japan, or the unluckiest - but he's definitely gotten more feel-ups and peepshows than your average high-schooler. It's also worth pointing out that Mako-chan has the best fashion sense (and cutest head-bob) of any of the girls in the cast. Highly disturbing.

Yes indeedy. This whole entire episode Mako had someone very feminine fashion going around. He's going further to the dark side...

I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a love triangle between chiaki and touma for makoto in the near future.

Thought it was funny that Kana wanted some beer. Maybe Hayami is rubbing off on her.

It could easily have been both - there are plenty of esoteric Kanji that even adults sometimes struggle with in Japan. But as Chiaki asked about the items by name, I assume she simply didn't know what the words meant (and her reactions upon being told were the best part of the scene).

Indeed, Makoto is quite a chivalrous boy - we've seen evidence of this already. That's why I thought the whole "You wanna go?" bit with Touma was pretty funny, as there's no way Makoto would (intentionally, anyway) hit a girl. Then again, maybe he thinks of her as a boy...

So this week gives us a new Hosaka song and the delightfully perverted/pleasant snow/breasts conversation. That alone is enough to make it a fun episode, but confirming Haruka's unbreakability (with a story about the sisters' younger days) and Hosaka taking up an interest in knitting also make it one of the standout episodes of the season. We began from New Years', and we're going to end from New Years'. Like Tamako Market, with nearly as much delusions.

Best part of the episode. So many hilarious double entendres. Natsuki's radically different reactions to Hitomi and Haruka's cleavages were pretty telling. He doesn't see him poor Hitomi that way at all.

I liked Atsuko's scenes as well. Her friends do ask her tough questions.

OK, so am I the only person thinking maybe this show should have aired in the Autumn 2012 season but got held back for some reason?

Another Hosaka song, they're really spoiling us!

The whole snow/breasts misunderstanding was wonderful, best part of the episode, I think.
