The official website has been renewed. It is loading very slowly for me, though.

Hmmm... if I'm to believe what the website is saying on the staff and cast page, then aside from a different art director and the fact that Takahashi himself is helping with the series composition, the entire crew from the first series has returned to work on this.
I guess that's a good thing, we can probably expect that it won't turn out like another ZnT2. |

Hi folks!
I'm a big fan of Shakugan no Shana too and definitely looking forward to the second season! I've just seen that the sub of the movie is out, however I have no idea what it is about and couldn't find any info through the forum search neither on Animenewsnetwork etc. Would be nice if someone could give me a short overview, thanks!^^ |

The movie is basically a remake of the first volume of the novel. It differs a lot from the plot in the TV series, although the touching Hirai story is still in it. Overally, I think the novel lovers will love the movie better. For the TV series lovers, many seemed to be unimpressed.

Alright, guys... It seems like we're only a few hours away from the first "First Impression Post" posts here in this topic. It has been a long wait, but we all made it! ( I started a daily countdown on my MSNM 30 days ago precisely and, oh wow, time does fly by really quickly)
Hopefully we should be seeing a few subs in the next two days. Eclipse did sub the movie, which tells me they'll be on SnS II like pedos on Fate-chan. I'm relieved, though, since they are a respectable fansub and they've done a good job with Season one.

I wonder if it'll be set directly after the first series from the time or a year later or so. And thanks for the link to the movie thread Devard! |

Spoiler for Episode 1 thoughts:
The new OP and ED are both sung by Kawada Mami. While not as dynamic as "Hishoku no Sora", series 2 new OP "Joint" retains that upbeat feel that makes it a good Shana OP. I've yet to warm to the ED "triangle", but hopefully, it'll grow on me. BTW, I'm quite amazed Shana still hasn't got its own section yet. Also, I had thought Shana II would air on Fridays rather than Thursdays, since I had originally just plan to watch CLANNAD. Looks like Thursdays would be quite entertaining and busy for me for the next six months at least. |
