The girls of Amagami SS do have great character designs. If Sailor Moon was to borrow off of their more modern facial/anatomy designs, then that's fine.

I wouldn't want the girls of Sailor Moon to lose their distinctive hair colors though.

Yeah, that would destroy peoples idea of Sailormoon.

Didn't the live action version get around that by giving them normal hair, then anime-colored hair whenever they transformed?

That actually might work well for secret identity purposes, lol.

Hey, it's no worse than a pair of glasses!

This is INCREDIBLY common in Precure, where the girls in MG mode have hairstyles that are wildly different (in many instances by sheer VOLUME) than their civilian hairstyles.

Though I'm not expecting such shift just for modernity's sake. So it's likely the girls will keep their colored hair even while out of their roles.

Yeah, the live action is well well worth watching.

It's just that at the same time it manages to be the most embarrassing awkward thing you'll ever see. Especially Usagi early on.

Live action Rei was always great though.

Erm.....

Kagura (Gintama)
Alphonse (Full Metal Alchemist)
Sabot (Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan)
Kanzaki H. Aria (Hidan No Aria)

Don't tell me she can't change her voice!!

And yeah, a crappy character should get a crappy seiyuu so Kae Araki again, please. Guh...her only good role was Minnie May from Gunsmith Cats!

And why people hate Chibiusa?
Because she's annoying, useless, disrespectful, has a crush on her dad, and is a major assault on both the eyes AND the ears. XD

The live action version could've been better if they gave it a proper budget rather than making it on whatever they had left from producing Faiz and Abaranger.

Precures, however, aren't parcticularly concerned with secret identities. Most of the time anyway, Smile handwaved it once in a tongue-in-cheek fashion and then disregarded completely because of how the show was set. But in general, Japanese superheroes... do not really take up a secret identity.

Yes, clearly Sailor Moon needs to be updated to today's standards.

I didn't say she couldn't change her voice (I knew that for a fact by knowing some of the first 3 characters you quoted) but Aria is just sounds exactly the same as Iori (iDOLM@STER) which sounds the same as latter Rise (Persona 4) which is the same voice she's been using since Taiga (Toradora). There's a few more occasions of this but it just shows how much they've been type-casting her in these same type of voice roles. It's not that I dislike her (quite the opposite in fact) but I just wish they would stop giving her all these equally sounding roles.

Well, that very last part is somewhat normal, actually. There's a saying that girls marry their dads (i.e. a girl will find someone as much like her father as possible because she loves her father).

Is the live action really worth it?

I'm having problems in watching live actions >_> do I need drugs to watch it or just turn your brains off?

I don't know why (I only watched a bunch of asian dramas).
Before watching each new live-action, just turn your brains off and acts like a eager fangirl, but the live-actio drama itself doesn't look bad as what I heard.

Yes, it is very worth it if you're a Sailor Moon fan.

The acting, special effects and just about everything else start out absolutely dreadful but they get a lot better as the story goes along. You sort of adapt to the ridiculousness, and the new spins on beloved characters are fascinating in their own right.

Also live action Minako who is basically a new character, and a pretty damn good one at that.
