You could work a bit on render choice ^.^ The quality of the render seems pretty bad. But the sig turned out ok. But it still lacks vibrant colors. And the Rozen Maiden text could be blended in slightly more by lowering it's opacity or something like that. And for those kind of sigs i think the render should be blended in a bit.

Well, i guess there is no harm making a little tutorial

KasumiGirl's rounded edge tutorial...With pictures
For BJR.

Firstly, you need a picture source.
In my case, i am using a Saber one.

Make a new 100 x 100 px thing, and make and avatar like you would usually do, just do not add a boarder.

Next, make sure you have the 'Paths' window up. If you don't, then add it. (Go to window > Paths.)

Now you should have something like this on your screen:
(Yes, i even circled it for the numnuts.)


Now, take the pen tool:

And make sure it is selected on rounded rectangle tool. (Or elipse, or polygon, any of those three.)


Make sure the options bar has the same as shown:


Now, make the shape on your avatar.
You should get something like this:

Yes? Good.

You should now see in the paths tool box, it says 'Work path'. Right click and click on 'Make Selection'.

This box should now be on your screen:

Choose the feather radius to '0'.
Click ok.

Now,select 'Select Inverse'
and clear. (Press delete)

Go to Edit > Stoke, and select to your preference.

and...HOLY COW YOU DONE!

This was my final result:


You can also try some other styles, like, EG: select the feather radius to 1, (2 at the most.) and do not add a boarder.
It is most likely to turn out like this:


You can also play around and use different shapes combined, or a cumstom shape. Like this:


TIP:
~Save your works as a png, or gif, if you don't want white bit hanging out.

Gomen... I've been working hard this past two weeks and I'm barely answering this question. I'll have to take a copy of this when I get home from work and then tweak it out a bit. For right now, I actually like the copy of the render. It's a nice pose and I see you contoured some brushing to flow with Souseiseki. Although there isn't any vibrant colors, the presentation is very balance when comparing to both the render and bg. Since you don't have the psd to work with anymore, it will be hard to modify anything unless you start from scratch. But I can still take it and work with it to see what I get. You're getting better and better, please keep up the good work and I look forward to your next addition to the RM set.
