The romantic vibes come mainly from the fact that Marie had a crush on Stein while she was in Shibusen, and still has feelings for him.

Damn Medusa, don't act all happy when you're being evaporated! Anyways shouldn't her soul appear so Soul can eat it? Either she's not really dead or the makers have just completely forgotten about the 1 witch and 99 souls thing.

I think, perhaps, that part of Demon Hunter's ability to destroy evil is that it includes an evil soul. Soul can't eat Medusa's soul, because it simply isn't there to be eaten?

gotta say its a very active episode with lots of action, looks like the climax just started

so..i'm guessing the "courage" thing at the end was the answer to something like how maka can use anti-demon wavelength? or did it have no meaning

Ahh!! I hadn't thought of it that way, but maybe it makes sense if you go back and look at the ep where Maka defeats Crona and Ragnarok's collected souls disappear? Why that happened was never explained but attributed to Maka; I suppose it could have been that wavelength kicking in? I realize she didn't use DH, but she should have still had the same wavelength (just not as amplified).

I thought Shinigami confiscated Ragnarok's souls when Crona was brought to Shibusen?

^that happened in the manga, but in the anime ragnarok instantly went into chibi mode when maka and chrona matched wavelengths

it wasnt ever explained, but later on in the anime, Shinigami called it some kind of "purifying effect" which now that I think about it, is how they're probably going to tie up things with the kishin

Agreed. Certainly would explain why it it Stein, Sid, and Shinigami think that Maka's demonslayer wavelength is so very important. Shame a kid so very pure (or whathaveyou) didn't turn up earlier, really...

Did anybody bring up the issue of Marie's anti-insanity thing not making sense because the snake was still in her? Maybe that was on another forum. Well, Chrona did admit to putting it in her tea, so it's plausible to think that the snake was removed offscreen. Just sayin'.
