Do you have any idea of who is the cg artist? I prefer these cg designs to Nomura's Terra in Dissidia, and can't wait to see FFVI remake with new cg.

FF VI gets my vote for the game that most deserves a remake with current technologies. I'd have voted for Celes if she were an option. I'd love to see the opera house scenes with full-sized characters instead of chibis.

Yea Rydia's CG version is very nice, in OP where she summons Leviathan, she looked amazing. Rosa's pretty good, but kinda outshined by Rydia for me lol

From what I've googled, their character designs are still mainly credited to Amano. But its suggested that a team of designers worked on their CGs, wiki provides 2 names: Takashi Tokita and Hiroyuki Itō.

Neither Ito nor Tokita have anything acredited under their name as characters or graphics design tho, so it is not there, probably they didn't want to give credit to anyone over Amano.

But I'll check the credits on my game later just out of curiosity. Because even if your random artist modeled the character out of Amano's original designs, you can still notice the artist's own touch, just as much as you can see Nomura's on Dissidia characters for example.

It saddens me that Fran from FFXII doesn’t get mentioned much among fans here, although I did like Tifa in Advent Children, but in the original game I found her mini deformed character laughably ugly. XD

She's so beautiful, even Tony Taka had to draw her. Her loli pic is a little more nsfw than her adult pic, so I had to crop it for easier viewing.

I can understand having Rydia as your favourite. While FF4 isn't the game I have a ton of memories from, what I do remember helps me see that side of it. Especially with the other images put up she definitely has some great looks.

Though at the end of the day for all the FF girls Celes will probably stay at the top for me. A lot will do with her story and some great skill. Liked Terra, but just had Celes as a step above. Everything came together well with her character. But also she was one of the best looking sprites from that age . And she does have some upgraded images out there to appreciate.

I used to like Fran, but after I seen and heard her loli sister, Fran starts dropping points lol

I only play games in their japanese versions and her sister had an extremely moe voice lol

For Tifa's SD sprite, the only problem I have with her is the way she walks.

Actually I only saw Celes as beautiful from her sprite lol, her sprite is just so cute.

But her original and CG designs don't compare to her sprite. Until they have an even more updated design of her, Dissidia's Terra looks the best for me now.

FF6 is just well written that all characters besides those secret side characters, have their own beautiful stories to tell and complement well with others. Its my favourite FF.
