So the anime should catch up quickly and overtake the manga.

I'm surprised so many people aren't familiar with Mizukami. Hopefully, this anime will finally bring him the popularity he deserves. It would be amazing if this paved the way to adaptations of his previous works too.

It goes even deeper than that for me. The overall style is as instantly recognizable as the physical character designs. Mizukami is a singular writer for sure.

You know, there was is this rumor going some time ago about the only reason why Mizukami create Spirit Circle was to justify why his character look very similar from one manga to another.

I'm also clueless regarding this person. I had a blast with ep. 1.

So thanks to that Samidare cameo, I guess anyone that wanted to see Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer animated got part of their wish.

I must admit, had I not known beforehand Mizukami was writing it, I would n not have realized until the second trailer, with the group shot of the heroes.

@ orion
Basically, damn good writer who has done multiple quality works but has never seen one animated, probably because of how unique his writing style is.

I'm glad that it was snuck in. There's always hope.

Interesting first episode though. I'm in for now. I really wish they would just use normal animation for the mechs though. They don't animate well and barely blend in. Not going to change but....it's just an irritating thing in anime these days.

Man, what a weird premiere of this series. Then again, I love mecha anime so I give Planet With a shot!

Trying to piece things together. The MC is from another planet that was apparently destroyed. His brother was one of the superheroes of that planet yet he hates the ones from Earth. I guess the Superheroes are being manipulated by another alien faction who seeks to destroy Nebula. That doesn't necessarily mean Nebula are good guys though. It's probably more complicated than that knowing Mizukami.

What struck me the most about this, is that the artstyle is soo WEIRD. It's all kinds of classical and colors to me seem really muted. Also all the CGI mechs REALLY feel out of the place, although I guess that might be intentional?
And gigantic cat things are apparently normal?

I don't really know about him, but my friend was pretty excited about this anime being his work, so he probably is awesome enough.

And yes, gigantic cat things are as normal as it gets (though it looked like a giant teddy bear to me).

Well, I don't know the works of Mizukami so I don't expected nothing from this and surprise, was quite interesting. I'll stay for more definitely.

Sensei's face being hidden by his own face in Torai's memories got a good laugh out of me. It's the kind of stupid stuff I love. And hey, we actually got to see Samidare's panties. I wonder if it's going to become a running gag.

This episode answered some questions, but there are still a lot of mysteries and most likely misdirections. I thought each Paladin might have a different object as their source of power, but they all draw energy from the stuff in the bottle, which I'm guessing originates from Soya's world hence why he's so hellbent on fighting them and taking it back. Feels like there's more to it though.

So I guess Torai's group are supposed to be the ones we are rooting for, especially since they are pro love and Paladin's leader is being setup as trying to take over the world. But so far I trust the maid and cat less then I do the red head.

This is at least 2-cour, right? There is no way this could be 1-cour.
It's good, it's so good...
