Log Horizon 1 March 31, 2011 Log Horizon 2 May 30, 2011 Log Horizon 3 August 31, 2011 Log Horizon 4 September 30, 2011 Log Horizon 5 November 30, 2011 Log Horizon 6 March 30, 2013 Log Horizon 7 December 20, 2013 So, we are not exactly guaranteed a steady release, or the release of volume 8, much less a volume 9 in the time before the second season starts. Second, for volumes 1-7, the author posted sections of his draft online as he worked on them. He has not yet posted anything for volume 8, so he's likely tied up with other things, or still doing research for it. In short, he hasn't started actually writing it yet, so we aren't likely to get volume 8 until this fall. Third, as for the side story, it's still just in webnovel form. It has not been edited for publishing, and the story itself is incomplete. So I doubt they'd adapt it in any substantial way. |

Besides, the reason for long blank between 5 and 6 is because the 1st part of LH ended with 5, and 6 kicked off the 2nd part. In fact, the gaiden was actually originally planned to be part of the main set. And you don't know if he "hasn't started writing yet". He serializes, but does not mean he has no stock ahead. Mamare suddently went quiet on tweet he was very active on, for the past 3 weeks. He came back just yesterday, and many speculate he was working on volume 8. (Also, volume 8 IS planned for this year, not only did he state this, it's in the last volume which I have the physical copy right here in my hand) You seriously don't think he just "writes as he goes" do you?? I've been following the novel online, and he does mention what the plan is, what's ahead, so it's quite obvious the serialization is actually completely planned ahead. The chapters posted aren't really real-time, but rather, posted as they are refined for publishing standard. Also keep in mind, this is his biggest gig EVER so far. With the current success of LH, Mamare is under much more pressure than ever before to pump out content in time for NHK's schedule. Mamare is a fast writer, there's no reason we should be paranoid that he won't have the content available. We should worry about the THIRD season if anything, since there's no escaping that there's going to be a rather long blank between season 2 and 3.

The animations and Art have been fairly mediocre, but personally i'm not that fuzzed about it as the story is what is most important. I assume they have to keep a low budget as this is not likely to be a huge cash cow. |

woaaaahhh....
I won't go in details... but I'll rate Log Horizon = 10/10 perfect show for me as anime-only watcher that's a crazily intense moment between Shiroe and Nureha... finally we could find someone Shiroe can consider as his opposite... Shiroe and Nureha showdown would be magnificent She is truly a strong contender for Shiroe's harem... Akatsuki-chan! beware! I wonder what Shiroe means with leaving Akiba.... I hope he would bring all Log Horizon members with him... judging from the preview, maybe they would go to Suzukino Mahou Shoujo Akatsuki.... not bad! next season please... NEXT SEASON!!! |

The last part also felt VERY rushed and many things didn't make sense. They skipped quite a lot of info there, didn't they?

There was no way in hell they could have animated the original scene from the LN.

Spoiler for LN comparision of Nureha:
With that said, I loved the way the episode ended. Giving all of LH one last fight scene, one last Akatsuki knee to the face, a shot of a certain individual lurking in Akiba, and that stinger after the credits. Bring on season 2! |

Though I kinda guessed how she got the nobles behind her already... aehm wait... unintended inuendo, sorry oO. Too bad SHiroe, decided to make Crusty appear, he could have polished his image if he wanted therre - well at least Lenessia (or better said her maid) got it now. Either way can't wait for season 2.
