Reading ダンジョンバトルロワイヤル〜魔王になったので世界統一を目指します〜 and it's nice how the focus is actually dungeon battles instead of what it normally ends up being in other works of similar theme, which is not that.

Often the protagonist comes up with 'ingenious' ideas, isn't aggressive of his own accord whatsoever, finds some 'glitch' that allows him to get points easily (walking in and out of his own dungeon to get entry points),
is just a 'cheat character' from the get-go for no reason, ends up allying humans because he's a wimp, gets a super lucky random minion spawn, etc.
So it's fun when a work deconstructs all that and points out how stupid all that is. Plus there are other threats that aren't dungeons when other works normally pretend other factions are 'threats' when there's no way they are.
All the contestants seem to have an equal start and the only differences in their abilities seem to be the result of the choices they made.

Also, the auther claims to not like romcom in one chapter yet does a romcom misunderstanding scene like 2 chapters later.
Probably shouldn't expect any romance in spite of that, though.

^ Because the authors that make those stories have no idea how electricity is made and those who have the idea know, that it would be just impossible with the available tools and technology. Well generally speaking creating a simple battery would be possible, but it's use would be fairly limited (to thinks like coating metals) and they can just use some magic to do those things anyway.

Actually I usually don't get why they don't straight up use the magic in the first place though.

Rather surprised that the one on the cover is Aryueno and not Karia. (Aryueno is the childhood friend who basically disappears from the novel after a few chapters, and Karia is generally considered the main heroine, so everyone thought she would be on the cover)
Also glad Rugis isn't too good looking, with his face and hands full of scars.

In all these fantasy stories, there are always Holy Sword this Demon Sword that Legendary Weapon etc etc

But in the story there are only depictions of such items being used and rarely the story of creations of those items

It's not like the ability to create such weapons is lost or anything, so why recently made items not easily found?

I just finished reading Watashi wa Tatakau Dungeon Master, and it was pretty good: Girl sees a mysterious group of people appear and destroy our world in front of her very eyes, but she runs at them to grab the "world core" they've stolen, and ends up sucked into their world, where she turns into a Dungeon Master, with the goal to collect enough soul points to recreate Earth again. Lots of murdering invading adventurers and random villagers who stumble upon her dungeon.

Kind of reminded me of Kumoko mixed with Overlord's 7th volume, but, uh, more genocidal. The author managed to avoid a lot of tired clichés, mostly because the protagonist is a girl, I guess. It does lose steam a bit in the final third, yet still tied up nicely in the end, so I'm pleased enough. Complete at roughly 1300 pages in Japanese.

Reading "勇者に幼馴染を寝取られたので、勇者の婚約者を寝取ろうと思う" and "勇者にみんな寝取られたけど諦めずに戦おう。きっと最後は俺が勝つ".

The 1st one is only 14 chapter (finished) and good to pass time. Kinda straightforward with it's ntr revenge and the character building is good too.

The 2nd one also already finished and also with a multiple ending. Still continued right now with a "what if" story . Also NTR revenge too.

Any works like this? I neee moaarrr...
