I just turned seventeen on April 16. And yet, while I feel older, I hardly act it and I think I act younger and younger each year (^^); Maybe I'm trying to stop myself from growing up so fast since high school will be over for me with next year being my senior year.

i'm 15 but I'll be turning 16 in 5 more months then I'll be able to go on dates or doubles dates and have my permit. yeah!

No one seems to mind in my world. But then, in my world 40 or 50-somethings also play MMOs, FPSs, watch cartoons, design rockets, play D&D, write software, belong to the SCA, ride motorcycles or rollercoasters, ad infinitum. Anime is designed for many age groups (e.g. Hataraki Man, etc) but may easily appeal across a wide spectrum of ages.

Sorry, its just so odd seeing age-ist behavior in young people who want to treated like adults. (Personally, I'd check the spelling before worrying about being a laughing stock about age ... O.o)

Ay i agree with you. My parents just think anime is weird and just don't understand why i watch anime... meh.. Some anime have better story than your average soap/movie on tv... Why would watching anime make you weird just because your 40+? It's just the overal image anime has in people mind...

But it seems like more and more people are getting in to anime these days. Atleast i start knowing more people irl that are in to anime.

And to stay on topic. I'm 20. I hope i will still be enjoying anime and games when i'm older. Or it should probably be have the time to enjoy it.

Though i was a bit surprised about the 80+ one.

Sorry! I guess I must have sounded really childish and insulting......Gomen!
The reason is that everyone here thinks anime = cartoons and that only poeple under the age of 12 should be watching it in the first place. But once I tell my friends what anime really is....that it isn't as kiddish as cartoons, they kinda understand.
I hope that when I am your age I will still be interested in anime.
