PV has quite the mysterious feel, only showing only a bit of the special abilities. Also gotta love all the that Angel Beats staff, looks like PA Works is back to the top form that produced their magnum opus 5 years ago.

The OST is like Angel Beats' and I kind of like it. I just hope I like the anime more than I did AB! because of it's inconsistencies (the story itself was moving, but in hindsight, it was terribly rushed)

Hmm...well, it looked pretty good as far as pv's go. There are aspects to it that still hold my interest, I guess. As for the music...well...I kinda like it, but at the moment the clip shows far too little for me to get a good feel for it. I could see it working and not working.

Nothing to do but wait, eh? ^^

Maybe a clearer overall feel for the series will come out as more pvs and snippets are released.

Angel Beats had a smoother and cheerful atmosphere.
Charlotte seems dark and gloomy.
It has a climate of tension in the air.
The characters seem to hide your true self.
Apparently each hiding a big secret.

The guys look sorta douchey but that's sorta standard (PA right?) The girls look fine; I think blondie looks better in the video but the other girl not as good compared to the poster.

Also, I noticed on their list of brag works that Kanon is missing. Why is that?

Maybe so there would be no need to sort out between the 2002 and 2006 versions, I guess? Not sure to be honest....

Well first thing I noticed from the PV was the main male lead. He's not a typical wussy fail PA Works male for once, but a bit of a douche and dick. +1 to that. Now just need someone like JunFuku as VA and behold Lelouche with green eyes instead of purple. Otherwise, Sakurai because he's like the go to for dick males.

In terms of rest of the PV, I must say it did feel different from traditional Key (Air, Clannad and Kanon) and it doesn't look like bad visually like Little Busters... but hey knowing Maeda + Key it's going to have stupid unfunny school antics ---> feeeeeeels trip so I should not be tricked into thinking it's going to be amazing.

Unfortunately, the character designs didn't translate as well from that promo poster to animation, but it's still an improvement from the usual sameface syndrome that PA Works usually do. May watch an episode or two to see what it's like but if they start with that bullshit Key/Maeda comedy I'm highballing out of there.

I have no idea what you're talking about. There's only a 2006 version. I heard there Toei attempted something, but that rests in a vault with the Unlimited Blade Works movie, never to be seen by human eyes again.

The only reason I can think about is that Maeda wasn't in charge of Kanon, but it's still a bit odd considering Kanon is THE Key work. Whatever though, I guess people don't mind. I do remember when Angel Beats Trailers were always shilling True Tears which I didn't watch yet, and Canaan... really, whatever.
