Someone is about to get wrecked. She literally gets stronger the more she gets hit, unless you pull that Judo stunt that Neo did and turn her own attacks against her, maybe suffocate her or uses an attack that doesn't transmit kinetic energy like Cinder does.

Her in-you-face combat style is precisely why she got completely wrecked by Neapolitan (sp?) at the end of season 2. Powerful yes, but until she learns that fights aren't always won by who can punch the other the hardest, she's going to run into a lot of problems.

Personally I think fighters like Pyrrha can beat her easy.

Don't be sore just because Cloud got a beating. Boom and Wiz made perfectly valid points. It was just a bad match-up for him.
Seriously though, Yang is going to mess her up unless she's packing some barrier materia. Tifa's strong, but Yang just gets stronger the more you punch her.

To (loosely) quote their Goku vs Superman fight: "We pit them against each other at their utmost potential..."

So I guess Cloud with a Buster Sword and barely any of the good materia (of which was limited to what? Like 2 or 3 because of Buster Sword) is him at his potential, right? I totally expect them to pull something like this again with Tifa, if Yang wins it's mostly because:

1) Monty Oum

2) They take away all of Tifa's good equipment.

3) the whole RWBY group are a bunch of Mary Sue's.

Like I said: Why have her fight when s3 the very same season we are about to learn more about her mother and possibly her?

And before i'm accused of being a FFVII fanboy I didn't get to play it until like one or two years ago, so I don't have the same kind of attachment to it as many others do and am not complaing because of nostalgia, also inb4 someone also tries to spin the Superman vs Goku thing on me, I agree with Superman winning everytime.

The same reason they didn't Link his full arsenal of different weapons and magic and limited him to tools against Cloud. The full potential for game characters is not feasible for these things, because they outright get to ridiculous levels. That's why they gave them both Iconic weapons and armor.

Don't get me wrong, if Tifa is packing Ice Materia, then she very likely could win by smothering her--providing Yang's semblance only looks like fire and is not actual fire. If it's brute force, then she'd have to hit Yang hard enough to wear out her Aura or redirect her hits.

They gave Link his Master Sword and Hylian Shield, and Cloud his starter equipment.

It was also composite Link, who somehow had all his swordsmanship experience (despite him having to relearn it every time he reincarnates, axing the inherited swordsmanship idea) and they somehow got it into their heads that the Golden Gauntlets would let Link resist blows from someone who can trade blows with Sepiroth (who they freaking acknowledge is a planet killer), or that he could target him during Omni-Slash (which is canonically the speed of light).

Death Battle is a great show, but they don't know jack shit about power-scaling. The fact that Tiffa is able to damage half the things she fights puts her out of RWBY's league, and surviving one hit from a WEAPON puts her outside the biggest punch anyone in this show has thrown.

Like I said before, full potential is not feasible for these matches. They aren't even the same type of game, nor do they share the same mechanics. They gave them both their Iconic equipment, Cloud just happened to be remembered for his starter weapon while Link has the Shield, Sword, and Hat. If you want to go on about that, remember they also gave him the Ribbon and the mastered Materia, both of which helped keep him in the battle.

Before we start a flame war by accident, I'd suggest we wait until Yang and Tifa go at each other first.

Because Final Fantasy fans watched Sephiroth pull a moon sized meteor from deep space, a WEAPON snipe a building bigger than a city from a continent away, a dozen other things even worse, with Tifa and Cloud in the middle of it all, kicking the asses of all the above.

And to be clear, I'm not worried about bias. I'm worried about the fact that they believe Yang is physically anywhere near the level of an FF character.
