Oh my god. Tsuare is the older sister of Ninya?! FUCK, man. That's pretty sad. I didn't think this was gonna be the follow-up that I was curious about back from Season 1.
And I guess I was wrong about Renner again. Her definition of love is pretty crazy. She's pretty crazy. Also gotta respect Albedo's collection of Ains body pillows. rofl Last edited by blakstealth; 2018-03-13 at 19:00. |

This episode confirmed a popular theory regarding the meeting between Ainz and Sebas in the LN. Many (including myself) believed that the first Ainz that showed up and then left with Victim wasn't Ainz but instead Pandora's Actor pretending to be him. The logic behind this was that after the Shalltear incident, the guardians would not allow Ainz to be on the frontlines again and so PA was sent to confirm Sebas wasn't an actual enemy. Then he left and the real Ainz showed up (also why he wanted to see Tuare himself).
This was not obvious in the LN at all, with only subtle clues... but the anime didn't really seem to care: Showing that Pandora-Ainz did not have red dots for eyes and how he broke character a couple of times. |

That Princess really is something . Utterly warped and pretty darn crazy. But she does keep a lid on it for Climb's sake and in her own warped way does love him. Definitely crazier than I thought though. Honestly no idea how things would/will follow from Climb finding out about that side of her. Might have the more natural reason of being freaked out or accept it because she is just that important to him.
Things worked out alright with Sebas (sort of). Once again though it is a bit sad how the condition Ains has keeps even his positive emotions restrained. Sure it keeps intense rage under control, but does the same for pure happiness. Not much point for Albedo or anyone else vying for his affection....because in that state he can't really feel love without it being restrained as well. That was an interesting thing coming back to S1 and Ninya. Fate is a weird thing. So he gets a chance to do something for her sister. He was probably fine with either option of setting her up for a good life among people or letting her work alongside Sebas. Though of course now they have to rescue her before it is too late. Wouldn't be surprised if part of the rage Ains felt was that he might end up failing again. Couldn't save Ninya (or her party) and might not be able to save Tsuare either. But dang...a very poor decision was made here. These guys just pissed off some of the scariest people imaginable

The scene between Tuare closing her eyes and Sebas delivering his punch made me feel legit shivers. Moreso on Sebas' part because of what we've been shown of him. The Marquis' freakout over Renner's proposal was pretty funny otoh. He was fanboying over her just minutes ago and then he loses it at the drop of a pin.
Ainz admonishing Albedo was surprisingly another highlight, least of all for doubting his words but moreso he wanted to keep up his promise to repay his debts. It's a good sign of his humanity, which we don't really get much insight of since he killed Clementine.

Tuare's under the protection of Ainz. As such, any harm that comes to her is a personal affront to the name of Ainz Ooal Gown and Nazarick as a whole. It also shows how little Albedo values the name, otherwise, she would have jumped into action without any questions asked.

So would this be a sign that Albedo might betray Ains at some point? Or is this a red herring? Personally, I don't see the logic in her saying it was ridiculous, since all NPC in Nazarick are pre-programmed to be absolutely loyal to the 41 Supreme Beings.

One has to wonder how Climb would ever react to Renner's true personality. He idolizes her, but seeing her make that face and talk that way might just knock her off that pedestal he put her on. I guess the saving grace here is that in her own messed way, she does love him.

Damn, when that chubby prince is uncomfortable around the princess then you know theres something seriously wrong with her. lol
Keep in mind that Albedo has the highest evil rating in Nazzarick. Yes, even higher than the bloodlust crazy Shalltear. Humans are scum, more akin to a stain that needs to be cleaned up than living beings to her. So doing anything to help a human is ridiculous. Its like IRL going out of your way to help one ant. Why bother?

Also... the lack of inner monologues does hurt the story a little. For example, Sebas used to believe Touch Me was the kindest and most noble of the Supreme Beings, but when Ainz forgave him and allowed Tuare to live in Nazarick, he acknowledged to himself that Ainz was indeed on par with his creator and felt even stronger devotion toward him.
Another thing was that the interrogation was perhaps the tensest thing in all the LN by far. Sebas was scared shitless of Ainz and the guardians, especially how they glared at him. He was outwardly calm, but freaking out on the inside. Sadly, the anime only allowed us to see his outward reactions. |

Hmm... So Albedo saying this is ridiculous at the end amounts to just because she wants his name to remain as Momonga? Still, it is strange to question anything that Ains said and be upset at it.
Also, with this episode, it's confirmed that Ains did not believe completely what Solution said, since he was never in doubt that Sebas betrayed him. Ains mentioned Aureole Omega as the youngest sister, but are we supposed to know who that is? The sudden name drop came out of nowhere.
