There was never any real proof that she had more than two daughters. That was just certain people venting their distaste for her promiscuity and jumping to conclusions because of it.

As for how this affects what is already established, it changes nothing. Considering how Mercie "forgot" to use her anti-pregnancy magic, Asuha is still the illegitimate child.

It does put things into perspective why Lotte and Mercie are so distant, though. More than likely, Lotte is merely the product of an arranged political marriage. Mercie never did like having the responsibilities of a Queen, so most likely she never thought of how heavy the responsibilities of a parent would be.

That's not to say that the Queen doesn't care for Lotte or Asuha at all... it's just that she doesn't know how. That's why she only could act like herself, which unfortunately includes having lots of sex and Lotte accidentally seeing her in the act.

mercie love asuha and lotte but she don't want to repeat the tragedie that mercie face with his sibling.
the problem with lotte,and with asuha makes mercie don't know what she must do as a mother.
she also busy with her job as queen.
i hope touya will get oyakodon with lotte and mercie.

I started reading this and caught up to the current chapter 29 translated chapter. I realize the raws are 20+ chapters ahead but I'm fairly confident the translations will come. Enjoying this read either way.

Hmm. I haven't kept up with the manga for a while now, but it's nice to see Haga not doing a cop-out ending or bowing to censorship and actually delivering the ending most was hoping for.

Spoiler: Naoya decides to bang Rotte and become her husband and Rotte's mother says she's going to give up on Naoya even though she still loves him. Lotte officially declares Naoya to be a member of a harem, and they prepare for a wedding ceremony. Loli vampire Elika takes the opportunity to mention that she's going to marry shouta-boy Leo-kun. Before the wedding, Lotte tells Naoya that she needs just him in her entire harem, but she expects him to do the "work" of over a hundred men. The Queen and Asuha both show up at the end in wedding dresses. Mostly just to get in on the fun though, and are not actually intending to marry Naoya. The Queen says that the four of them can finally be a family once Naoya and Lotte marry (what a messed up family!), while Asuha wanted to take a commemorative photo. Final pages, Lotte says: "Hold it! Naoya is... Naoya is... my toy!
