Can you believe this fight has only been 4 rounds thus far. Ippo's looked completely shredded for ages now. The idea that Ippo's just starting his comeback now and is gonna win by slowly reaching new 'milestones' one by one is just unbelievable.

I hope this fight lasts the rest of the year.

I think Woli is going easy on Ippo with his punches, otherwise Ippo should be in even worse shape. Woli lets Ippo live because he thought he could learn something.

Also the only reason Ippo could touch Woli is that Woli decided to go on the offensive in the hopes of learning something. With his regular style, he would never have gotten touched.

So even with Woli going easy, and not using his best style, Ippo can hardly do anything. Time for Ippo to retire from boxing?

Thirding the call for Ippo to retire. If this is the best he can do after almost 900 chapters, the majority of those as Japanese champion, then he must have missed his calling in life somewhere. He should go back to fishing and leave boxing to those who can get the job done.

Don't forget he still has his three times upgraded Dempsy Roll (after 800+ chapters) as his special weapon, although Ippo can't use it since Woli would just avoid it unless the young boxer finds it interesting.

I think that Ippo would use a new version of Dempsy Roll designed with a random movement to fight Woli.

Highly enjoyable chapter, What i've always loved about Ippo has been the method he uses to beat his opponents no matter what they're strength. It's something that the manga has been great at, We know that Ippo will win yes, That's not really important but the important thing is the method which the manga excels at surprising me with. And these kind of chapters in which just begins to figure out his opponent are the most fun to read somehow.

Seriously Ippo has got to be one of the most annoying protagonists ever. Chapter 800+ and already the japanese champ and he's still getting schooled. siiiiigh........ forever destined to be schooled. At chapter 8000 he will get schooled again by Ricardo Martinez(given that Ricardo is still boxing at that chapter) and get schooled by his boyfriend again on chapter 9000.
