Although it's not the even close to the main focus of the story BECK involves some competitive swimming/coaching

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien also has a little bit of swimming for the school team in it, but is only featured in a few episodes.

I just finish overdrive, and was hopping to check out other non ball-type sports. Swimming came to mind so...

Hajime no Ippo is about a sport anime without balls (it takes balls but the sport itself doesn't have any balls).

I think overdrive is not the typical shounen/sport anime but anyway you could try Capeta. I don't know if you can say that karting is a sport but it does have the same feeling as other shounen/sports. If you don't mind car there is also Initial D, but I can't personally recommend those two because I don't like car race. Air gear is also sport with roller.

There is an anime called Peach Girl.

A girl likes this guy but can't confess until her skin is darker than his. She sticks to that promise because someone told her that her crush hates tan girls. Why is she so tan? Because she loves swimming. Also I'm pretty sure there is 26 episodes and around 3-5 of the episodes are swimming.

Umisho is the only anime that has swimming as a focus. Amagami SS and other series has a character that swims and a few scenes with swimming, but it's not a central focus.
