[4th Dimension]

Well, let's see recent reactions during the thrawl:

Chapter 35 of Future Tense: WTF, WTF, WTF. Although I have a feeling this is probably another fakeout. It's unlikely that the sim would have been set up this way. But Stern has been lurking in the shadows for a long time.

Spread Thin by darkcurse - another Fate is messed up in mind form a member of the angst brigade. This one actually has a positive conclusion.

Also more Daily activity Logs, which is allways great.

Oh and I forgot to mention this one long ago: Vividly - Satashi and Shining sword remake/retitle the Vivid manga pages with their own UNIQUE take on the manga.

[4th Dimension]

Okay, it's June 2011 and the thread has been infected by the teenage Vivio crushing on Hayate idea. It's ... quite interesting. Deathcurse of all people seems to be writting the best fic dealing with the idea:

First there came two shorts setting things up:

And then the main one came.
Prerogative of the Brave

BTW parts of it happen on Earth since that is where Hayate flees once Vivio tells her she likes her hoping it would blow over soon. Unfortunately for her Nanoha chooses to take a family vacation with Fate and Vivio just then and "just so happens to go back to her home planet". She totally is not letting Hayate flee from her daughter.
Anyway one of the interesting things is the fact that the rest of the Takamachi is there, so we get to see teenage more experienced Vivio interact with Miyuki and such. Including wrestiling with her.

Which makes me think, they could totally do a segment in Vivid of them going to Earth. Sure Takamachi's know no magic, but they do know techniques, and that is what it was all about in Lufen arc it seems.

And of coruse there is Mozco's UNIQUE take on the situation as usual: Alternative Viewpoint.

[4th Dimension]

This one is technically part of the Shadowverse, but it's pretty standalone.

It's about how 18+ Vivio got her reputation for sexual prowess.... much alcohol, bragging and an intercom for the entire TSAB HQ base was involved.

“Happy Eighteen, Corona!” Rio Wesley cheered.

“Guys! Guys!” Vivio hushed frantically, trying to contain her laughter as the three girls walked into the darkened office where Vivio served as a data specialist for the TSAB. “We’re not supposed to be in here after hours anyway, and this is a library.”

“Sorry, sorry, just that waiting for Coro to turn the big 1-8 has been a nightmare, Viv! I’ve been waiting for this forever!” Rio cheered, a bit louder if anything.

“Rio… this is a bit much…” Corona said softly. She did most things softly.

“A three-person birthday party is not a bit much, Coro. It’s the far less than a bit much. It is the opposite of much.” Rio protested.

“I could lose my job if we’re caught.” Vivio offered.

“Okay, yeah, that helps, but it could be better.” Rio agreed. “So! A rite of passage. A key point in the development of all teens!”

“Learning how to drive?” Corona asked.

The silence was thick indeed.

“I… don’t think so, Coro.” Vivio said delicately.

“Because I’m looking forward to that.” Corona said cheerfully.

“… … … … right.” Rio said. She set down the small backpack she carried and withdrew from it three tall, glass bottles filled with amber-colored liquid. “How about instead, we break into these?”

“Rio, is that…?”

“Genuine.” Rio said with a catlike smile. “McFerrarri’s Old Reserve. The finest single-malt whiskey available on Mid, if my dad is to be believed.”

“You raided your dad’s liquor cabinet?” Vivio asked in amused disbelief.

“Hey, we only turn eighteen once, and now that we’re all here, we might as well enjoy some of the stuff we’re allowed to do, right?” Rio said mischievously.

“Well… maybe a taste. It is a party.” Vivio said, giggling.

“Um… I… I don’t…” Corona said. She took a deep breath. “Okay. Just a taste.”

Rio smiled and removed three glasses from the bag. “Okay! One drink each. To celebrate!”

She uncorked the bottle and poured three shots, smiling. She slid one glass across Vivio’s desk to the girl in question, and handed the other to the slightly nervous Corona. “To adulthood!” She said, hoisting her own glass.

“To adulthood!” The three friends chorused, and poured the liquid down their throats.

Then, as one, they collapsed into hacking fits.

“Gaaack!” Corona said.

“It… *cough, cough* burns!” Vivio gasped.

“Geeez, dad! That’s ‘good’?” Rio said.

Silence fell briefly.

“… so, anyone want another?”

“It was awful!” Corona said.

“It was like drinking lava!” Vivio said.

“… maybe it gets better after another?” Rio suggested. “Let’s try.”

Ten minutes later…

“Anudder!” Vivio said, setting down her glass. “This stuff burnsh pretty cool.”

“Alla you Vivios needa stop drinkin’. You’re taking it from Corona anna cats.” Rio groused.

“Not cat. Eleffant.” Corona muttered.

“Righ’, righ’ the ellfant… elepha… thing needsa drinks too. Don’t take alla drinks, Vivivivivivi.” Rio slurred.

“I’m older than you. I’m eighteen for… like… a lotta months. I’m pract’ly fiffy. So since I’m twice’s ol’ as you, I need twice a drinks.”

“Not twice.” Corona grumbled. “Five times. Need five a glassesh.”

“What she shaid.” Vivio said.

Rio threw away the empty bottle of whiskey and uncorked a new one, pouring a shot where she believed Vivio’s glass to be. She had seven targets to hit, and she did get the right one eventually. “Bah! You aint speshul. You aint tha’ old. You ain’t… speciold.”

Vivio and Corona gasped. This was a challenge that Vivio could not simply ignore, clearly.

“I am sho.” Vivio said.

Rio rocked back on her heels. Then back onto the rest of her feet. Then back on her heels. She swayed a bit, is the key point here.

“Oh really?” Rio said, the ultimate comeback.

“Yeah, really.” Vivio countered, the soul of eloquence.

The gauntlet had been thrown.

At this point, a minor explanation is in order. You see, McFerrarri’s Old Reserve is roughly 160 proof, or about 80% alcohol. It was really not meant for amateur drinkers… hardened barhoppers would have had trouble holding the amount that Vivio and co. had drained so far. (‘Drained’, not drunk. Each of them had only drank about three shots. Most of the bottle was on the floor.) They were simply too inexperienced to realize how hammered they were, and were likely on their way from their first drink to their first passing out to their first hangover and, by extension, their first prayer for death in surprisingly short order.

Not short enough, for some people.

In her office, on the other side of the station, Lutecia Alphine filled out paperwork, humming a little tune.

“I…” Rio said. “Can drivea car.”

“I can fly a car.” Vivio countered.

“I can fly a drive.”

“I canna thing a do a.” Corona said. She wasn’t part of the ‘argument’, she just didn’t want to be left out.

“I… you… you know a thing?” Rio said. “A thing. A thing?”

“Yesh?”

“I do that.”

“Nuh-uh!”

“Yuh-huh!”

“I fighta bear!” Vivio proclaimed.

“I fight your mom.” Rio said.

“She’d win.”

“… … … I fight two bearsh.”

“Nuh-uh!”

“Yuh-huh.”

“Hee hee... eleffant.” Corona giggled.

Vivio leaned forward, preparing the ultimate statement to prove her supreme adulthood once and for all. Her left hand clicked a small button in the corner of her desk as she did so.

This will be important shortly.

“You wanna know what I did?” Vivio said, her voice seeming to boom from the very heavens with authority. Really, really booming. Way louder than it should have been.

“I,” Vivio proclaimed in a tone that brooked no argument. “Had shex.”

In her office, Lutecia’s head shot up from requisition form 335-B at the quite sudden and unusually unwelcome sound of her girlfriend over the HQ intercom system.

“ ‘S right!” Vivio proclaimed over the loudspeaker, for the entire HQ to hear. “Shex. Because I am a growned woman. With urgesh.”

“No way.” Came the voice of Rio Wesley.

“Hee hee hee… eleffant.” Said a voice that might have been Vivio's other friend Corona, and might have been a monkey on nitrous oxide.

“ ‘S true! Shex! Shexy shexy shex! With a pershon!” Vivio proclaimed.

“No. Noooooo, no no no…” Lutecia said, eyes widening.

“What pershon?” Rio asked, now seemingly in awe.

“NOOOOOOOO!” Lutecia screamed, leaping over her desk and sprinting for the door.

“MY GIRLFRIEND, LUTESHIA ALFINE!” Vivio screamed. As if the extra volume was needed.

In a way, it was a relief to Cia as she ran. It made things seem less ‘real’. The disaster had happened, all that was left now was damage control.

“Wow, Vivio! You had shex with Luteshia?! You an’ Luteshia Alfine?!” Rio gaped.

Stop saying my name! Lutecia thought frantically. She didn’t speak because she needed the oxygen. People were already looking at her funny as she charged through the halls like a violet comet.

“Yesh! Me! And Luteshia Alfine. She’sh a Shadow, y’know. We had Shadow Shex.” Vivio said, as if imparting a great secret.

Which Hall do I take to reach the Library fastest?! WHICH HALL?! Lutecia thought, shoving passerby aside and leaping guardrails. She wished the ceiling were higher to allow flight.

"You had shex... real shex!... wif Luteshia Alfine who works downa hall here?!"

"Lotsh of shex! In all kinda ways!" Vivio said. “Shome of them are…”

GAAAAAAAH! Lutecia thought. She couldn't really think in words at this point. Her blood burned in her ears, along with the increasing amount of laughter and jeers as she sprinted halfway across the damn station to tackle her girlfriend.

Lutecia had thought she didn’t have many friends among the common TSAB soldiery. This was wrong, apparently, since it seemed that suddenly everyone on the damn station knew her by sight, and they all had a comment as she ran past.

“Whoo-hoo! Go Alphine!”

“Way to land yourself a Takamachi!”

“Don’t piss off the mom, she’ll kill ya!”

“Never knew you were that flexible, Lu!”

And behind it all, the ever-present, un-dying voice of Vivio. “And then, I lifted her leg up and did a thing wif a tongue and she shquealed…”

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Lutecia thought again. In fact, she just kept thinking that. It might keep the words out.

“And then she didda thing where her fingersh went down my pantsh and…”

Nope, nope, didn’t help.

After a run that lasted approximately three hundred million years, Lutecia finally came upon the door to the Infinity Library’s main entrance. And not a second too soon… Vivio was starting to talk about the thing they’d done in the storage closet and one of the things Cia had expressly told her about the thing in the storage closet was that nobody must ever know about the thing in the storage closet.

The door was locked.

“Garyuu!”

The door wasn’t locked.

“And then!” Vivio said. “She took me inna closhet and…”

“Noooooooooooooooo!” Lutecia screamed, leaping into a flying tackle that tore Vivio away from the intercom, finally clicking the damn thing shut.

“Viv… I…. Ooooooooo…” Lutecia growled, looking into the slightly confused eyes of her lover.

“Shia! I wash just talkin’ about you.” Vivio said cheerfully.

“I KNOW.”

“Are you havin’ shex now?” Rio asked. “Caush I don’t wanna watch.”

“Hee hee. Eleffant.” Corona said, and passed out.

“She really likesh that elf… elaha… thing.” Rio said.

Lutecia cast a disbelieving glance at the empty bottle. “How much of that did you drink?!”

“Four.” Vivio said, holding up seven fingers.

Lutecia sighed, the migraine growing so rapidly it was beyond belief. “Well, we need to get you out of here, befULF!”

AT this point, she was caught a little off-guard by Vivio’s arms clamping around her neck and the much physically-stronger girl flipping them over so she was on top.

“Why?” Vivio purred. “It’sh a party. Why leave?”

“V-Vivio! I… this! Not the place! Not the pl… aaaaaaah…” She murmured, her protests dying as Vivio leaned down to kiss her neck.

“Mmmmmmm… don’t you wanna… stay?” Vivio whispered.

“I… I… you’re…” Lutecia whimpered. “N-no… you’re way too drunk, and there’s… there’s people here, and… and we just can’t! Vivio, it's supposed to be special! Not like this!”

“Mmmmmmmmmmmm…” Vivio murmured, pressing herself more tightly against Lutecia, nuzzling her softly.

“We… we… we…” Cia said softly, her willpower waning rapidly. Drunk Vivio was still Vivio, still soft, and warm, and Cia wasn't all that experienced with this sort of thing... or resisting this sort of thing... herself…

And…

And the pressure on her body from the girl on top her altered slightly. The soft murmurs changed their tone as well, to something Lutecia was familiar with from their nights together, just not… in that way.

Lutecia sighed at Vivio's soft snores next to her ear. “Oh, well. This changes everything. Pass out on top of me, you sexy, sexy beast. Pass out on top of me just like that. Mmmmmm, your passing out is soooo good.”

“Shex.” Rio said in awe.

“Could you help me move her?”

“Threeshome?! No, no, I wanna get married!” Rio said, standing up to flee the temptress.

She collided head-on with the wall after about three steps, and collapsed to the floor.

The three unconscious girls and Lutecia sat there in relative silence for some time.

“Well,” Cia said, finally. “At least we avoided the storage closet story.”

Hayate stepped up to the podium and immediately she was bombarded with questions.

"General Yagami! Is it true that instead of focusing on stopping a dangerous Lost Logia you were abusing your position and assembling a 'harem'?" the female reporter asked.

"Yes, are you mad?" Hayate answered. "Next question."

"Have the rumors about your groping tendencies been exaggerated?!" another reported demanded.

"Nope, they are all 100% true. I have done everything they have said, and yes I have groped Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa-Haralown and yes you should be jealous. Next question?"

"Yagami! Yagami! What's the secret of forming a harem?" All the reporters stared at the man oddly.

"Be a hot chick with superpowers," Hayate replied immediately.

"Ms. Yagami, is it true your a lesbian?"

"Can you confirm whether or not you're sleeping your way to the top?"

"...Do I look fat?"

"You know what? Screw you all! Yagami out!" Hayate jumped out the window leaving all the reporters and cameramen staring with their mouths wide open.

"Oh no! General Yagami committed suicide!"

Of course, Hayate didn't really commit suicide from the pressures of being an awesome general, because she could fly and simply landed on her feet. "Yeah! Time for some fun!" she yelled happily as she began her rampage of terror and gropage.

Takamachi Residence

A screen popped up.

"I have an important mission for you Takamachi," Chrono said immediately. "We need your assistance right now. What do you say? Do you accept this mission?"

"I'm a little busy right now Chrono-kun," Nanoha admitted sheepishly. "Can it wait a few minutes?"

"Oh, Nanoha. This is a little awkward... sorry I want to talk to Vivio."

"...Vivio?"

"Yes, I was going to give this mission to her. It's nothing personal or anything Nanoha, I simply think Vivio would do better on this mission. I hope you understand."

The White Devil gave a smile that reminded Chrono how she got the nickname. "Oh no, I completely understand Chrono-kun. I'll accept your judgment on this matter however, do you remember who blew that hole in your ship?"

"Which time?" Chrono asked honestly confused.

"... You don't remember?"

"Nanoha, I've had a lot of holes blasted into my ship, it's like Tuesday for me. You'll have to refresh my memory a bit."

"Um, well, I was ten years old during a mock battle......"

"You know what? I don't have time for this, I have a rogue Hayate roaming all over the city causing mayhem. Just get me Vivio."

As if on cue, Vivio skipped down the steps. "Eh? Uncle Chrono? What's the matter?" Vivio asked as she titled her head.

"Trouble! We'll need to deploy you immediately! I'll give you the details on the way to City Hall."

She nodded and turned to Nanoha. "I'll see you later okay Nanoha-mama?" she smiled before hopping out the door leaving Nanoha dumbstruck.

The moment the door closed behind her, Vivio raised her hand to the sky and called, "Rider Kaiser! Transform!" her form was bathed in a kaleido of colors. When it finished, Rider Kaiser, the defender of justice, hope, and all good in this world, stood in Vivio's place. "So what's my mission commander?"

"Well, I think the stress has finally gotten to General Yagami. I need you to stop her as quickly as you can before she gropes too many people!" Chrono explained.

"What happens if she gropes them?" Rider Kaiser asked.

His expression was grave. "They enter her harem. We cannot let her harem grow too large."

Rider Kaiser pumped her fist into the air. "I'll do it FOR GREAT JUSTICE!" then rode off on her motorcycle that magically appeared out of nowhere instead of flying, which would have been faster but not nearly as cool.

City Hall

Hayate happily groped another innocent citizen. "Mwhahahahahaha!" she laughed maniacally.

"Stop right there!" a motorcycle came dangerously close to hitting Hayate but didn't because that wouldn't have been very heroic. The rider was long gone off the bike. Rider Kaiser stood a fair distance away from Hayate and posed dramatically.

"I am Rider Kaiser! And I will stop you! In the name of JUSTICE!" she declared.

A screen popped up. "Hey, Rider Kaiser! Do you know how much those motorcycles cost? You can't just keep crashing them so they explode!" Chrono admonished.

Rider Kaiser scowled. "It hasn't exploded yet commander! You just ruined the surprise!" As if on cue, the motorcycle exploded behind Hayate.

"Vivio...? What are you doing?" Hayate asked confused.

"Vivio? Who is this Vivio you are speaking of? I'm Rider Kaiser, here to stop you, FOR GREAT JUSTICE!" she posed again.

"Vivio, you aren't even wearing a mask. You're even still wearing your normal barrier jacket! It's not even a disguise!" Hayate accused.

"I don't understand what you're saying, but I'll still stop you, vile villain!" Rider Kaiser charged.

"And then pay for that damn motorcycle you broke!" Chrono yelled as a vain appeared on his forehead.

Hayate dodged Rider Kaiser's charge easily. Flying sure was handy. "Treacherous villain! Using underhanded tricks like this! How will I ever reach you?!" Rider Kaiser cursed as Hayate floated just beyond her reach.

"Vivio, you can fly too, you know?" Hayate said.

"Perhaps this Vivio can, but Rider Kaiser can't!"

Hayate facepalmed. "I give up on you. Since you're already in Adult Form, I might as well." She dived down and groped Rider Kaiser who was helpless.

And so, a beautiful romance was born.

So 00-Raiser and I settled that we both technically won and lost the bet , so we're both writing a fic for the other person .

My fic condition was to write a story where Yuuno has a straight romantic relationship that ends happily. Now, the last part made it tough for me to think up of ideas, so this final idea I came up with may not exactly fit the conditions, but hopefully it's entertaining enough! ^^

(It's a fairly well-tread idea, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone else had done it before ).

Training Wheels

“I told you, Hayate.”

“What?” The brunette commander was clearly distracted as she typed up assignments for the new divisions active by the end of the month. Normally Yuuno wouldn’t bother his friends when they were stressed with overwork, but he really needed a friendly ear to rant to. And considering his other best friends consisted of Nanoha (not suitable for this rant), Fate (even more unsuitable for this rant), and Chrono (the worst possible person for this rant), Yuuno didn’t really have a choice but to come sprawl on Hayate’s office couch as Hayate half-listened and half-ignored him.

“Once is an occurrence. Twice is a trend. Three times? Now that’s a pattern!”

“Hm?”

Yuuno sighed, hanging his head. His glasses slipped down. “Teana dumped me yesterday.”

“Oh?” Hayate finally looked up.

“…You don’t sound very surprised. Or sympathetic, I might add.”

“Sorry—I am surprised! And sympathetic. I mean, other than Vice I didn’t think that you’d have any real competition…”

“Thanks,” Yuuno grumbled sourly. “No, it wasn’t Vice. It was Subaru. Which just proves my point!”

He slapped his hand on his thigh, exclaiming, “I’m a lesbian's training wheels. All the girls I go out with eventually break up with me and then promptly go date other girls!”

Hayate stared at him. Then she broke down, laughing so hard she nearly fell off her workchair. “What?”

“I am!” Yuuno scowled and pushed his glasses up, counting off on his fingers. “First Nanoha asked me out. We dated for a few weeks before we broke up—and then she went on to date Fate for eight years! And now they’re married!”

“Well…they’re kind of an odd case,” his friend tried to soften the sting. “I mean, look at them—Nanoha-chan and Fate-chan had this whole star-crossed lovers vibe when they first met, then they had a whole epic love story between them. It was kind of in the cards for them.”

“I’m not bitter, really,” clarified Yuuno. “I’m delighted for them—I was Nanoha’s best man! But you see, at that time I should have known! The next person I dated was Shamal, as you remember—”

“Vividly,” Hayate said dryly. She had been the one to appease her over-protective knights at the time when the Wolkenritter had been very unsubtle about testing the mettle of the young man who dared to try for one of their own. Yuuno had been very impressed with her negotiation skills after the first harrowing family dinner he had attended as Shamal’s boyfriend.

“And then three months later, we broke up. After which Shamal started a relationship with Signum!”

“There were circumstances?” Hayate offered weakly. “Signum had been in love with Shamal for lifetimes, but it was the first time she dared to actually express it without worrying that their Master was going to abuse their feelings. And since this is their last life Signum didn’t want to live with regrets…”

“I know! They’re great together, and I’m glad that they’re both so happy. But you see! Shamal hadn’t wanted to date anybody, until she finally said yes to me. And then she got comfortable with the whole dating thing…and then she agreed to go out with Signum.” Yuuno let his head fall back against the back of the couch, letting out a groan. “She told me afterward that she was pretty sure that she was gay the whole time—but that she liked me because I wasn’t like other guys.” He grunted, flopping upright again and raising his eyebrow to Hayate.

“Okay, you do have a bit of a point there…” Hayate swiveled her chair around, kicking against her desk so that she coasted across the tile over to the couch, propping her elbows on her knees as she counseled, “But really, Yuuno, I think you’re seeing things where they don’t exist…”

“Really?” He gave her a look. “Teana. Dated Vice, they broke up quickly because she didn’t feel ready for a relationship. Then she and I went out, and Teana said that she felt a lot more comfortable.” Yuuno sighed, pulling off his glasses and faceplanting onto the couch arm, moaning in self-pity. “Yeah, she sure worked up her courage and comfort level…enough to go date Subaru afterward.”

More sounds of rolling chair wheels, and Hayate glided over beside Yuuno, patting his head comfortingly. “Aw, Yuuno-kun—I think you’re being too hard on yourself.”

“But it’s just me!” His muffled reply sounded far too whiny. He popped up, pacing around Hayate’s office while waving his glasses as he ranted. “Look at Chrono! He dated Amy, and now they’re married! Or Vice, who dated Teana, who then dated me! Another guy! Not like me, all my exes go date girls! It’s like…it’s like I’m girly enough that lesbians feel comfortable with me!”

Yuuno saw Hayate bite down on a smile, and he gave her a dejected glare. “See, even you think so! Urgh, why can’t I be like other guys?” His shoulders slumped. “They have the assertiveness and straightforwardness to go ask girls out instead of being asked, even if sometimes they come off like jerks. They like to hit punching bags, not books. Or they’re all brooding instead of smiling all the time. And they go around shooting things or blowing things up instead of healing and making shields. Even Nanoha blows things up more than I do! Face it, I’m not manly at all! You know, Hayate, sometimes I wonder if girls would treat me more like a guy if I was…you know…stereotypically manlier or something.”

“Yuuno-kun…” Hayate caught onto his hand, forcing him to stop in his pacing. “Hey, come on, look at me?” When he finally did, she smiled, her bright blue eyes twinkling. “You’re a nice guy, Yuuno-kun. “Uh…” Eyes bulging, Yuuno looked at Hayate, his face flooding red. Okay, Hayate was sweet, smart and funny—he had a crush on her before too, so this wouldn’t exactly be a rebound. And she seemed interested, so all he had to do was pluck up his assertiveness and—

“Yuuno-kun,” Hayate said seriously, clasping his hand in both of hers, “Will you go out on a date with me?”

He slapped his hand on his thigh, exclaiming, “I’m a lesbian's training wheels. All the girls I go out with eventually break up with me and then promptly go date other girls!”

The story I was thinking of wasn't Nanya's fic, but rather one by Kaijo, I believe--it focused on Arisa and Suzuka. Relationships DID have some ToraHa elements though.

That would probably be Crysis I think, since there Arisa and Suzuka are one of the protagonists, which then later leads to a fic about those two plus bunch of second stringers using golems/mecha to help integrate Earth into TSA.
And also it spawned Kaijo's own kind of Slice of Life epilogue to Crysis, that featured among other things YuuNanoFate.

But neither of those are really TH. They use the backstoryes and that is it.
There are a bunch of other ones that use the same. Basically whenever Earth stuck characters are more centric to the story, the TH gets brought in to buff Nanoha's siblings and muggle friends. And of course to add motivations to the characters.

Like the DC's Takamachi and Harlown records I postet couple of times uses the extended Takamachi-Fuwa (was it?) familly for some of the scenes and to explain Nanoha's behaviour.

Nanya's Slayers crossover also used parts, since it upgraded Nanoha's siblings by giving them magic swords and the familly is more important since Momoko is Lina Inverse.

I mean even the fic I recently linked about Vivio/Hayate, since it happens on Earth, nods that the Miyuki is continuing the "familly business".

There was only a sense of confusion among the other members of the family of five at Nanoha’s cry. The nine-year-old ran past her parents and siblings to the foreign girl laying unconscious on the sofa. Yuuno bound off her shoulder with the momentum, running up the arm of the couch until he was hovering over her. “Fate-chan?” she asked in a trembling voice, gingerly touching the girl by the shoulder. The only response was a whimper. Nearby, bandaged across her side on the floor, Arf lay at master’s side, and upon seeing Nanoha and Yuuno, she let out a weak growl. Miyuki moved, reaching out to pick up Yuuno off of the injured girl as he tentatively crawled atop her arm to her chest, but Nanoha stood up and grabbed her by the hand, looking at her with pleading eyes. “Where did you find her?” she demanded.

“W-we found her lying in the street,” Miyuki stuttered, surprised by her little sister’s desperation. “She was like this when we found her, and—“

Nanoha failed to hear the rest as Yuuno spoke to her telepathically.

Nanoha, Fate’s in really bad shape. I can stabilize her, and her familiar, but I have to do so as soon as I can.

Nanoha tore her gaze away from her sister, staring at Yuuno. Her family mistook it for looking at the girl he was standing atop of, the fear and worry evident in her eyes. Her mother laid a hand on her shoulder. “Nanoha, what’s wrong?”

She didn’t answer. Yuuno-kun?

I’m sorry, Nanoha. We don’t have time. I have to use magic on them—you’ll have to explain it to the rest of them.

After a moment’s hesitation, Nanoha squeezed her eyes shut and gave Yuuno a brief nod. “Do it.”

As her family tried to ask her about the odd statement, green light exploded across the floor beneath the two victims in the room. Two feminine shrieks sounded from Momoko and Miyuki as Shiro pushed his wife behind him to protect her. A field of faint green light burst up from the runic circles that revolved beneath Fate and Arf, while Yuuno stared down at them pointedly, concentrating on his spellwork.

“W-what’s going on?!” Kyouya demanded.

“It’s magic,” Nanoha told them.

Nervously Nanoha fidgeted with the hem of her skirt as she sat on the floor next to the couch, unmindful of the runic circle containing Fate and the glow coming off of the field of magic surrounding it. Her parents were on the floor with her, her mother having sank to the floor in shock at what she was seeing, her father keeping his arm around her to support her. Miyuki also sat on the floor, staring in bewilderment at the sight before her, and Kyouya leaned against the wall, arms crossed and a grim expression on his face.

“It… it started when I found Yuuno-kun,” Nanoha began explaining. “I didn’t mention it at the time, but I… I could hear him. I thought I was hallucinating, but then I found Yuuno-kun in that clearing. And then I heard him again that night, way more clearly. He was speaking to me, telepathically.”

“Telepathically? Nanoha, that—“ Miyuki started, only to start as a boy’s voice piped up.

“She’s not lying to you, I assure you,” Yuuno said to everyone in the room, looking over his shoulder from where he sat atop Fate, drawing the startled gazes of everyone except Nanoha. “I was under attack, and needed help. Nanoha saved me.”

“The ferret can talk,” Momoko said faintly.

“She saved you?” Shiro asked, looking straight at the ferret with hard eyes. “From what?”

“I came to this world to find the Jewel Seeds. I had found one, but it… it managed to form itself into a monster to defend itself. It came after me that night again to finish me off, but Nanoha saved me. Because she could hear my call, I knew she was a mage, and lent her my Device. She brought me here after she secured the Jewel Seed.”

“Then that night she brought you here, she had…”

“Un. I’m sorry,” Nanoha apologized, lowering her gaze to the floor. “I didn’t mean to worry everyone, but I couldn’t leave him to die…”

“What are Jewel Seeds? Why are you trying to find them?” Kyouya interrupted, drawing the attention away from his youngest sister even as Miyuki placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort the girl.

“Ancient magical artifacts,” the ferret responded. “And unstable ones at that. Normally, they were used to grant the wishes of those who held them… but their instability can result in them going out of control on their own. They can also go out of control thanks to mistaken executions by people or animals, and harm the environment in the process. I’ve been trying to retrieve them and seal them so they can’t. Nanoha has been helping me immensely with the task.”

“And this girl? Fate-chan, you said her name was?” Momoko asked, looking at her youngest. “Is she involved in this?”

“… yes,” Nanoha said after a moment. “She’s been after the Jewel Seeds too, but… I don’t know why. She wouldn’t talk to me whenever I asked.”

“We’ve had to fight her and her familiar over them several times already,” Yuuno added. “But this last time…”

“We tried to capture the Jewel Seed at the same time. It… it did something, I don’t know what, but then… this stranger appeared and he attacked us!” Nanoha exclaimed in a rush, her voice breaking. “He hurt Fate-chan and Arf-san, but we managed to get away… but… but…!”

Nanoha yelped as her sister’s arms enveloped her, pulling her back into her embrace. Miyuki’s hand patted Nanoha’s head, comforting to the distraught girl. “It’s okay, Nanoha,” she murmured, drawing a hesitant nod from her.

“Her injuries must have been more severe than I thought, if you found them in this state,” Yuuno continued to the rest of the family. “I’m sorry I had to reveal this all to you in this fashion. When I saw the condition she was in, I knew I couldn’t waste any time in healing them.”

Shiro only shook his head in response. “No, it’s fine. Your first instinct was to help them, even though they’re your enemies… it’s clear you have good intentions.”

“How long will it be before we can talk to her?” Kyouya spoke. “This isn’t something we can take to the police… and we can’t take her to a hospital. We need to know more.”

“I can’t say,” Yuuno said. “Physically, they’ll be fine by tomorrow. But… Fate’s linker core is in very bad condition.”

“Linker core?”

“It’s an organ of sorts. One for mages like myself, Nanoha, and Fate. It’s how we draw mana from the environment. Whatever that man did to her, it’s done some severe damage. It can recover, but… it’ll take some time. It may be longer before she awakes.”

“And her… dog? What about her?”

“Her familiar, Arf… she needs Fate’s mana to live. I think she’ll recover first, but she’ll need to limit the amount of mana she draws from Fate if she’s to recover soon. We’ll need to speak to her once she awakes… we’ll need to restrain her somehow as well. She’s very protective of Fate, and we’re kind of on her bad side as it is.”

“Alright… Nanoha,” Shiro said, turning back to his youngest, who started at the sudden address. “You’ll stay with your sister tonight. We’ll keep Fate in your room for now.”

“But…!” Nanoha protested, rising to her feet. Miyuki’s hands caught her by the shoulders as she wobbled from the movement. “I need to be there if she wakes up! She—“

“Nanoha, you’re dead on your feet,” her father cut her off. “I don’t know what happened tonight, but whatever it was took its toll on you.”

“You need to rest, sweetheart,” Momoko said, getting up and going over to her youngest, placing a comforting hand on Nanoha’s shoulder. “Please, listen to your father. We’ll come rouse you when your friend wakes up.”

“Mom’s right, sis,” Miyuki followed up. “You might know magic but right now I bet even I can keep you from doing anything.”

“… okay,” Nanoha acquiesced, looking between her mother and her sister, downtrodden. Miyuki guided Nanoha back to the bedrooms, but not before the girl took one last lingering look at the blond-haired girl unconscious on the couch. Once the girl was out of sight, the ferret standing atop Fate audibly sighed and shook his head.

“Thank you,” he said, looking back at the other adults in the room. “I’ve tried to keep her out of this once Fate got involved, but… she would have none of it. She’s been determined to help me collect the Jewel Seeds, and to get through to Fate.”

“No, I understand,” Shiro said, glancing down at the floor, his expression unreadable to Yuuno. “Nanoha-chan’s always been like that.”

“It’s our fault, I’m afraid,” Momoko lamented, looking away in shame as she crossed her arms beneath her breasts. “We haven’t been the best parents to her.”

“I don’t understand,” Yuuno said, sounding plenty confused. “You’ve been nothing but the best parents you can be from what I’ve seen.”

“… when Nanoha was just a toddler, I was hurt during a job I had taken, and was hospitalized,” Shiro started to explain, letting out a heavy sigh. “At the time the doctors didn’t know if I’d make it. The whole family was thrown into disarray. My wife had to look after the bakery, and my son had to help her. Miyuki was watching over me in the meantime.”

“But we had forgotten about Nanoha,” Momoko continued, looking off to the side, ashamed. “We had just opened up our shop when it happened, so we were so busy making ends meet that we left her on her lonesome. We didn’t mean to, and yet…”

“She seems to have turned okay though,” Yuuno pointed out. “It’s obvious she loves you, so I know she doesn’t hold it against you.”

“That doesn’t make it easier on us,” Shiro replied with a melancholic smile. “It’s true that she grew independent because of it, but that just means she didn’t feel it necessary to tell us about what was going on her life. I can understand why, given how unbelievable this magic business is…”

“But you still worry. I understand,” Yuuno said. “I’m truly sorry. I never wanted to drag anyone into this mess, but I couldn’t have gotten this far without her help. But now, with this interloper… I don’t know what will happen from here. I can’t stop from finding the Jewel Seeds, but I don’t want to see Nanoha hurt.”

“We’ll figure something out. What about that girl? Will she be okay?”

“I think so.” Yuuno glanced down at the girl he stood upon, noting that her pained expression had begun to lessen. “I believe I was able to begin the healing in time… I’m just worried that it won’t be enough. Whatever Mujo did to her is something I’ve never even heard of before, let alone seen. But this is working for now.”

“What about the dog?” Kyouya spoke up, glancing at Arf on the floor by the couch. “What should we do about it? If it knows magic too, I don’t think a kennel’s going to help. We don’t even have a kennel…”

“You’re right. If she comes to, I’ll handle it—I can use a bind spell to restrain her. From there, we can try and reason with her. If we calm her down, it shouldn’t be a problem,” Yuuno told them. He didn’t sound hopeful.

“Gonna be a long night then,” Kyouya said. He turned to his parents. “I’ll stay up with them to keep an eye on her.” His father nodded to him.

“I’ll take over for you after a little while. You won’t do much better if you’re dead on your feet, Kyouya.”

“Right.”

“Thank you,” Yuuno said. “Just be careful if you see her stir. She’s much more dangerous than she looks.”

“Well, we’ll call it a night then,” Shiro said, taking his wife’s proffered hand to rise to his feet. The father took one lingering look at the strange girl being healed on his couch before he and Momoko went on their way to the bedroom. He clapped a hand on his son’s shoulder once as he passed, an unspoken affirmation on what lay ahead for him.

“Well, can’t say today wasn’t exciting,” Kyouya remarked as moved over to the mages in the room.

Sliding glass doors surrounded by garishly colorful advertisements slid open noiselessly as he approached. Only a few people within the internet café looked up to see the gray-haired stranger in a sharp business suit enter, but those few did a double-take as they took note of his unusual, elven features—and beneath his green spectacles, the anger barely concealed in the mask of an arrogant smirk.

Kyoji Mujo took a moment to observe his surroundings, taking note of the open booths of computer terminals, each one manned by a person typing away at a keyboard and clicking away with a mouse. Not a single one lay unmanned, but that was hardly a problem. The receptionist, a bored-looking teenage girl tapping away at a cell phone, didn’t look up as he walked past, yet more of the customers did. Perhaps they realized something was off, something in his pace or his stance. He stopped behind one particular seat, occupied by a plain-looking teenager bobbing his head to the beat of pop music blasting through his headphones as he read some article on the terminal’s web browser.

The boy shouted in surprise as Mujo grabbed hold of the seat and yanked it backwards, throwing him out of it to land painfully on his back, his headphones ripped from the machine itself in the process. Only a lack of speakers installed with the computer prevented the music from blaring out, and Mujo paid it no mind as the kid scrambled to his feet and scurried off with a shout of fear. He sat down in the now vacated chair and closed the page the boy was on—an article on some idol named Nana—and opened up a new one to a search site. Around him other customers began to pack up in a frenzy, deciding to be nowhere near the callous intruder. They too were paid no mind as he typed in his query.

However Mujo’s countenance morphed into a dissatisfied frown as the terms “Lost Ground” brought up nothing of significance. There were no articles about the separated expanse of land that birthed the Alter Users. A quick follow-up on them also proved useless, the website attempting to correct his terms when it found nothing. “Where am I?” he asked himself. Again he typed in more queries, looking into the status of the HOLD and HOLY organizations, to no avail. With an irritated sigh, he changed direction, opening up a search program for maps.

As he opened up one, it quickly became apparent that this was not the same world he had come from. He could see on the map that the region that had become the Lost Ground, the Kanagawa Prefecture near the city of Tokyo, was wholly intact, as if the Great Uprising had never occurred. A quick trace of his computer’s location narrowed down his location to that of Uminari City, a place he had paid very, very little attention to before.

“Huh. To think, those theories of parallel universes were correct,” he spoke, returning back to the original searches. Once more he changed the nature of his queries, instead inputting the characteristics of those children he had found upon his arrival to this world. A number of predictably worthless articles were brought to his attention, equating the terms of his searches to that of magical girl anime. He frowned once more, but this time it was thoughtful, contemplative. Given his own powers, he quickly deduced that whatever those girls were, it was a secret that was well kept from society at large. That could prove difficult for him.

With a chuckle, he stood up from his seat, stepping away from the booth as his grin turned sadistic. The receptionist near the entrance cringed back from him as he made his leave back into the night. At the street he stopped, looking upwards at the stars above.

He was truly on his own here, in a strange, almost alien world. He knew of no way to return to his own, or to open up the Door to the Other Side without the aid of Kazuma and Ryuho, and their easily manipulated passions. But not all was hopeless for him. No, with that unusual crystal he consumed, and those children he fought hiding somewhere in the city, he was certain he could find something he could use—a way back to his world, or perhaps a new way to satisfy his thirst.

The smile that graced his features would’ve sent grown men running. It looked like he needed to find one of those girls again. With the blonde injured from their bout, Mujo imagined she would go to ground to lick her wounds. Then he just needed to find the redheaded girl, make her tell him what he wanted to know… and take her power too.

Just throwing out a pair of fic ideas that have sprouted in my head, see what people think and if anybody wants to make fics out of them, go ahead because I don't know how to make them into full fics (and I'm busy writing three other stories already).

First, what if at some point during (or right before?) the events of StrikerS, Teana and Erio developed a close sibling-like relationship, with the prickly and standoffish girl finding herself becoming a protective and loving big-sister figure towards "the sweet little baby brother I never had"?

This second one... Well, here's the synopsis, straight from my brain.
"Fate Testarossa's life had taken a strange turn, but she didn't exactly mind this new development. While tracking a Jewel Seed for Mother, she'd slipped through some kind of rift. There, she'd met him. He was tall and weird-looking, and his energy signature felt like it had traces of two other people's mixed in it, and he was a little scary and stoic. But as he'd taken her under her wing, she'd learned that he was a noble, honorable, kind-hearted man with great wisdom. He treated her with such gentle kindness; she imagined that this must be what having a father was like.

And he was strong, so strong... He was teaching her so many powerful and useful techniques, better ways to fight. His friends were strong and kind, too, helping her in little ways as well. Perhaps with this new power, she would be able to accomplish her mission better, maybe finally make Mother smile again... Fate had become stronger, and found a little spark of happiness, all thanks to this person named Piccolo."

(Imagine Fate being trained by this guy, maybe someday even learning the Special Beam Cannon... And, more importantly, imagine Piccolo going full Papa-Wolf on Precia...)

Funnily enough you "just" posted Collared back in 2011 from my PoV.
Anyway I read the previous chapters on FF and this one and I have to say I'm intrigued. Well I'm more intrigued because things will go differently in TOS and I want to see where that​goes. I'm less intrigued by so far OP antagonist, but then again I'm not familiar with the source he is from, so that is on me.

I do have two small nitpicky corrections lore wise.

1: Mana: Lore wise the linker core doesn't consume mana from the enviroment but mana stored in mage. Hell in Strikers they even talk about mage foods. This also has a consequence on how SLB works since there is only spent mana floating in the enviroment which is why it's not used to start fights.
Then again this is TOS where the officiql reason for Yuuno's underperformance was I think that he has not acclimatized to local (Earth) mana conditions or something.

2: The way Yuuno explains his predicament makes it seem like he fell to the first Jewled Seed he ran into. When in fact he was able to colect like 2-3 before that Jewled Seed monster got a drop on him. This explains how Nanoha was able to still be in the game numbers wise once Fate showed up since untill Artha showed up Fate was taking most of the ones they fought over.

As I said largely nitpicks, but I want to see where this goes.

Now let's hope I didn't make too many spelling screwups since I'm posting this from phone.

Well, mana CAN be pulled from the environment, as StrikerS mentions that's how the Cradle achieves air superiority, by achieving orbit and drawing mana from Mid-childa's twin moons. I imagined linker cores can function in a similar manner. Also IIRC the description I used on the Linker Core was from the movie. Can I get a source on the linker core comments? Episode numbers, etc would be helpful for me looking into it.

For jewel seed amounts, I don't recall him mentioning he'd collected others, but I do remember the movie upping the Seed count for the first encounter.

Jewled seeds. I was wrong, but not by a lot. At about 14:40 in Ep 02 of TOS as Yuuno is explaining the Jewled seeds he mentions that so far he has only found two JSs. One would be the one he presumably recovered and the other was one that Nanoha saved him from.
Ughh I had to endure listening to the Nanoha's VA in the dub untill I managed to thankfully switch back to JP. That was rough.

As for mana, LKs and food, according to the dictionary (since it's easiest to search):

Linker Core
As the name suggests, an organ in a mage’s (knight’s) body which works to link and manifest Mana generated within themself. The disposition of a mage thus depends on their Linker Core, and currently any analysis of a mage’s abilities are done by examining the Linker Core.

Magic
In this world, magic is prepared as “programs”, and arias or concentration are used as triggers for activation. Magic users set these programs within themselves or in a Magic Activation Complex to perform magic. Mana (magic power), the energy used to activate magic, is generated from within the user’s body, and the nature and capacity of this energy differs between people. People who undergo training and master magic are called “mages.” From disaster relief to investigations, mages are active in a variety of settings.

As for Cradle, apparently it wasn't that Cradle was draining moons for mana but their position boosts certain spells. I mean I could construct a headcannon based on this, but it's weak as proofs go:

Orbital point
The Two Moons that orbit around Midchilda were said from ancient times to have Magical Powers, and would have affects upon the usage of Mana. Today, it is common belief that the moons' position has little means to affect the Mana upon the ground level, which is supported by the experiences of the Mages themselves, but some experiments done at (Midchildan? - AT) orbit shows that some specific types of Magical Spells do get deeply affected by the Moons' position. Thus, the Cradle must be using such special Mana Manipulation... is the result of the investigation done by Yuuno.

As for the food, I'm thinking it's probably refferenced in StrikerS manga, as a way to handveawe Erio and Subaru's tendency to consume food by cartload. This is the closest I have found in the dictionary:

Limited Restriction Lifting
Mages that get involved in Crime or other clandestine activities tend to place restrictions upon themselves during day to day activities. This is because a too large an amount of Mana tends to be picked up by Sensors, along with operating in such a state requires a much larger amount of Energy Supplies required to say Functional (which usually means things such as Food), forcing them to resupply more often. Therefore, they place restrictions upon themselves during day-to-day action, and lifts this restriction when they need to release the full amount of Mana that they can deploy.

Much appreciated. A quick check through the movie, however, did claim that Linker Cores can draw mana from the environment, describing it akin to breathing. "Inside the heart of every mage, including both me and you, there is a magic generating organ called a Linker Core. Imagine that you're breathing in with your Linker Core, collecting and condensing the magic in the air. That is magic application."

It's like a constant, low-powered Starlight Breaker in that sense. Seems now there's conflicting sources, and the one I used is more recent and more easily accessible.
